  • Love that 70's macrame set!

  • when was the last time you heard oboes and french horns on weekly tv show? Great posting.

  • Great memories from the Carol Burnett Show and the 70's. Perhaps the best female singer of the 20th Century. YES and I've thought about that statement.

  • Now here's a dame who can SING!

  • Eydie Gorme is my favorite singer of my era!

  • too many years in steve's shadow.

  • I just love her!!!

  • Liza said Eydie was her Mom's favorite female singer, that says something!

  • What a wonderful and powerful voice..that is singing. Nowadays, almost all you hear from almost all female singers shout or scream when they sing.

  • The written word fails in its ability to express how amazing that performance was

  • Eydie looks and sounds stunning & remember seeing this and amazing live version tops MGM Lp version...nobody could top Eydie and sadly nobody around today comes close...Bravo Eydie!!!

  • That's the way SHOWBIZ used to be!! What a pro!

  • I miss watching the Carol Burnett Show on Saturday nights. Saturday nights have not been the same since that show went off the air. I also miss watching and hearing amazing and talented singers like the incomparable Eydie Gorme. Like someone so properly stated her Spanish songs are also outstanding, and she does put every fiber of herself into her singing. Just brilliant!!! Thanks Eydie. We all love you!

  • The first time I heard Sondehim's "Losing My Mind" was on Carol Burnett's show, with Steve Lawrence singing it. It was indelible. Hip critics may deride Steve and Eydie as lounge-y kitsch, but the fact is, they sing really really well and they put across a song like no hip pop artist can. They communicated to audiences in a powerful, direct - if vulgar (for hip souls) - way. This is a great Eydie Gorme performance

  • Eydie sings SO beautifully with feeling and warmth and depth and with such power and clarity. Steve and Eydie both sing beautifully. This is reminding me of my childhood seeing her and Steve on the Carol Burnett Show and other shows, and it's getting me teary eyed. Beautiful and Classy! Thanks for posting this. God Bless!!

  • what a powerful song!!!!

  • I am 19 yrs old and I love this so much!!

  • thumbs up if glee brought you here!

  • It's like I am back at the Sunrise Musical Theatre and the year is 1978...What a singer and what a duo. Thanks Eydie and Steve....

  • HOLY MY GOD

  • She was fantastic, a wonderful voice and a beautiful woman, Thanks Carol for having Eydie on your show. Two great talents of the 60's-70's, Eydie Gorme, and Carol Burnette.

  • Steve and Eydie are both great! One of my favorite hits! Sing your heart out Eydie!

  • Wow!

  • what can u say about a talented and great singer and what a voice

Thank you Eydie for all those beautiful years

  • She can make even a mundane song sound epic. When she has a truly great song to work with the results are just stunning.

  • I miss the talented singing a song for the interpretation and artistry of it. Nowadays its cliche'd virtuosity with no grasp of the material.

  • Absolutely the Best! I'll always love you Eydie. Thanks so very much!

  • the 70's where great, peggy lee, shirley bassey, steve and eydie and all the others, young and alive

  • Gosh we were spoiled in the 70's with fantastic entertainment like this!

  • @shinybear You're right. We had the BEST music and talent in the 70's, and we were truly spoiled. I miss Real entertainment.

  • Love Edyie Gorme,;beautiful voice!

  • What she did for singing, too! Simply terrific. Thanks, also, Carol, for having Steve and Edyie on your show for truly quality entertainment. And thanks for providing us with so many good times and laughs.

  • Nobody better. Tremendous talent!

  • i sooo love this version! diva!

  • This is one of her best performances!!! I love this song and this is the best version! :)

  • just hearing her sing always brings back memories of my late father, who collects all of eydie gorme's album. you're right dad in saying, " No One does it better than eydie!"

  • Nobody can top that performance!!!

  • This is an amazing performance! She sounds so good. I think I actually saw this live on the show.

  • Eydie is the best. Second to none.End of discussion!!

  • Eydie is so terribly underrated. The passion and powerful musicality brings this song ( and all the others she sings) out of cliche into a totally NOW drama.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • perfection!!

  • What an incredible voice...no other female past, present or future will match her incredible talent. I love how Eydie interprets

the words to a song. She puts her heart and soul into everything she sings whether in Spanish or English. Thanks for posting this incredible video. Andrea
