Still waiting to get accepted at the Job Corps in Tennesee... or was it Kentucky. Anyways, if they have internet there, I might do a small blog on life at Job Corps...
I REALLY NEED THIS BAD IM STRUGGLING I CANT GET MY LIFE RIGHT AND THE HIGH SCHOOL I GO TO IS NOT RIGHT FOR ME WHAT I NEED IS STRUCTURE AND A LEADER TO LEAD ME TO THE RIGHT DIRECTION SO I CAN HAVE A GOOD LIFE
the commercial makes it look better than it really is. What they forget to tell you is the gang problem in job corps, the drug problem, the ghetto fucks who attend who have no intention of leaving their gang lifestyle, and there's only one toilet which you share with like all your other roommates.
im interested in job corp, but you see, i saw a few videos of other people in job corps on youtube and they all seemed kind of violent and it seems like this is an unsafe environment, is this true? because by the looks of the videos i saw it seems alittle dangerous. Could you please explain alittle? =(
@Shanicemarieransby We offer CNA, CMA and if you qualify you can work toward becoming a LPN. Unfortunately, you have to go to college to become a doctor, but we can get your feet wet in learning the foundations in the medical area.
@Shanicemarieransby Some will say JC is like jail, but it's not. It is structured with rules and guidelines and you spend most of ur time on center. It's all in what you make it.
@Shanicemarieransby or call us at 919.754.1339 and we'll get you connected with admissions counselor in your area who can give you more information and get you enrolled to become a Job Corps Student Employee!!!!
im gonna have to go to job corps soon.i hear from others that is similar to a prison. with all the fighting etc,but on the other hand i REALLY need this chance to turn my life around.
@grizzswagg Well I am glad you are considering Job Corps for career training and education. This is one of the best program's to help you achieve your goals. Now Job Corps is structured, but it is no where similar to prison. In some cases it's more like high school when you have to cohabitate with 16 to 24 year olds who are not always in Job Corps for the right reasons. That's why you make the best of the program like so many have and you'll graduate a success who goes on to be even greater!!!
@antigay7 Awesome...if you are interested we would love to do a spotlight on you...how long ago did you go to LBJ because you sound like a great success story?!

I attended Whitney M. Young Job Corps in Louisville KY in 2005. I completed my Phlebotomy trade. After returning home I had the drive to go on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. It was not easy by ANY means. You definately learn how the real world is. If you can do this...you can do anything.
@jennigoesvegan Now that's real talk!!! Thank you for that report about your Job Corps experience. Are you in North Carolina and where are you working as a LPN? This is awesome, we may want you to speak to a few interested youth during our presentations, would you be interested? Go to our Facebook page at North Carolina Job Corps and send me a message if you are interested.
job corps is great i had fun and yes some trouble but i got a job i worked for IBM Duke in culinary arts and i have made alot of money working in this field
@Impetrate420Justice Thank you for your interest. You are in the San Francisco region and can only apply at the Job Corps centers within that region which include nearby states. Call 1-800-733-5627 to get the Outreach and Admissions Counselor in your area to begin the admissions process.
my advice, is get a testimony from a job corps graduate that actually has a job. No offense to the woman in the video. Great commercial. By any chance is the person who runs this channel an admission counselor? If not do you have any email or phone no. contacts to a north carolina admissions counselor. I want to get into oconaluftee. i'm 18 going on 19
