The song is about the very first Tabernacle, which is 1st brought2us in Exodus. In order for anyone to go into the most Holy Place of the tabernacle they had to first enter in thru the East gate, once u enter thru the East u were in the Outer Court.. Just past the Outer Court is the Brazen Altar (brazen=bronze) Altar in Hebrew means the slaughter place, Here at the Altar, we laydown our own will, we slaughter our fleshly desires...
