i got on this ride about 11 years ago and it held us upside down spinning for about 1min cus someone dropped their change.. my m8 felt sick and moaned at the pikey running it... i fuckin LOVED it! lol

This ride came to Epsom derby funfair back in 2005 it was better than the magnatron wheel which does the same but flips you over 4 times side ways.

@DelzieC No this has two masts and the main gondola lifts up. Whereas the Spin Out has one and has over the shoulder restraints. This ride has stand-up shoulder restraints and can rotate at a higher RPM than the Spin Out can.

@jasondunn5 I think these were made in about 1995-96. There's a few videos of them brand new on here somewhere. Stargate never used to have the huge lit up centerpiece, it had a small pyramid with ultra bright halogen bulbs in. And about ARM, No idea, I think they kept making Superbowl rides and Skymasters up until 2000. Then just disappeared weirdly.

@LukeNAESA10 yeah i think wilsons must have tour'd this first in 96 as a replacement for rythm dancer. never got to see this ride as i moved to belfast that year. i think im right in saying ARM had a partner company of the same name in america, and they used to make a drop tower aswell as skymasters. the oxford based ARM made some great rides. would love to know more about UK based ride makers. my dad used to make rides for supercar in warwick. have u ever seen the original type superbowl photo?

@jasondunn5 Think the original Superbowl concept was designed to undulate like a Waveswinger but obviously with a ride that height with spinning seats, with say 4 passengers in a car will put more than necessary stress on the safety bar. Yeah ARM UK Ltd and ARM in the USA are two completely different companys with the same name I imagine. As all ARM UK machines were built here and ARM USA ones over in the USA.

We use to have a ride similar to this (where I live) except it wouldn't go up in the air, they got rid of it not too long ago because I think those platforms which you lie up against were slowly falling apart, kinda freaky haha, but this ride looks pretty cool =)

you are sittin on a seat and are straped on with a proper strap lyk the ones you have when you go on a roller coaster.and there arent just to there are more then tht theres a traveling fair called funderland thy have some amazin rides like megga spin (which is egsactly the same as this ride but i diiferent name)and a ride called buzzin wich is AMAZIN.and theres no way that a force could hold you up for tht long cuz when i went on it they stayed upside down for ages :L

no actually on this specific type of the cage you cannot physically fall out because you have an over the head shoulder harness that comes down as it stops spinning and keeps going upside down so i think that would allow you to fall out so i think im right lol

I'm one of the 'smaller' people & have ridden both Stargate & Megaspin a number of times! I have to say that Stargate, for me, is more comfortable!! :) A really great ride. The Megaspin is also a great ride but I just don't find the overhead restraints comfortable, that's all.
