  • Ok so if I take the muffler off my 84 shadow And leave it just the headers. What kind of carb work will I need to have done? Also will it burn out the valves?

  • How did you go from hydraulic clutch to cable clutch on yours?

  • fantastic work on this Vti 500 ! it was hard to put advanced commands on it ?

  • where can i find a switch like that for the starting

  • @Keelsteve I think I got that swith at Autozone, actually.

  • I wish I hadda seen this video last year. I had a 85 VT700c that I sold. I bought a HD Sportster. I like my sporty, but I really wanted to do something radical to that Shadow. You did an excellent job with yours.

  • @crystalnjeff Thanks!

  • do u have 2 have a License plateTAG 2 ride on da streets?

  • @Elect4Sure Yeah, you have to have one to ride on the streets. Only if a cop sees you, though.

  • I have a couple questions about the sportster tank... first off did you have trouble with the air box underneath the original tank. And second is a curly fuel line thats coming from the petcock of the sportster over to the stock fuel hose location?

  • @flyingfoampits Yeah, the airbox is gone. I used some little pod filters. You can't really see them. The copper fuel line is coming from the petcock to the carbs. It has a short rubber hose tying the copper to the carbs. The petcock is a brass boiler valve that I brazed to the sporty tank.

  • @HarleyLavaLamp

hah i just read this reply.

So after adding the pod filters did you cut where the frame splits into 2 and weld a single tube down the middle? My 86 is still sitting in the shed waiting for a carb job.

  • nice, I mean Im a Harley rider and dont like Hondas cruiser/chopper attempts. They should hire you, then they would make nice CCCs. Todays Honda lineup is a joke, Suzi is OK, Kawi nice, Yamahastar is almost perfect. Im talking about Cruiser/Chopper segment only. Still I prefer Harley, but you rock, keep on the track, cheers.

  • @MadIgor1 Thanks. I appreciate it.

  • @HarleyLavaLamp can you tell me which cobra exhuast you used on the 750 shadow you did?

  • This is bad ass. Where did you put the 2 boxes that were under the passengers seat?

  • Is that a king sportster tank? If so did it fit easily, was there any mods needed for mounting?

  • Yeah it's a sportster tank. I had to do a little cutting and welding to make it work.

  • did you change the rake at all? or does it just look like that because you dropped the rear?

  • Yes, I raked the front end too.

  • DUDE thats sick! I have a 83 and an 85 that I want to bob out!!! I was wondering if you could answer some tech. questions?!

  • Sure... shoot

  • did you say this used to be an Ascot? or was it a shadow to start with? i've got an '83 Ascot i'm looking to turn into a bobber.

  • Yes, it was an Ascot.

  • what year is it

  • It's 1983

  • no rear suspension?

  • Nope... it's a hardtail.

  • The exhaust looks like you just took off the mufflers and left the headers. hope you atleast put some baffles in there. otherwise say goodbye to horsepower. but the look of the bike is still awsome. wish my shadow looked that good.

  • Nope, no baffles. It's just straight headers. That means more air flow. More air needs more fuel, so I re-jetted the carbs. More air and more fuel means more power. Believe me, it's never run had this much horsepower in it's life.

  • i saw this on craigslist for sale...did it sell?

  • yes, it's sold.

  • i love it

  • Thanks
