I have worked in the cemetery burial business. These are called vaults. It's what is used to put the coffin in before you place it into the ground. That's the official use of them. The statues say that you can not put a coffin directly into the ground because of leakage of the body fluids that will leak out and they leak out into the coffin and then the vault before going directly into the ground. however gotta consider cdc bein the owner.
