This is amazing, in that passengers are actually being asked to board a Delta plane.

In my experience, D.E.L.T.A. = Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport. My last round trip on Delta, between DFW and Reno, was a couple hours late - each way!

@DallasHammster That's your experience.. I had 4 back-to-back flight and all were on time arrivals. Departures were.. 10-20 minutes late. Did DL compensate you for "hours"? If they didn't, the delays you describe are probably exaggerated because the FAA requires passenger compensation after a certain amount of waiting.

@EDDIEinWAR when i was a teen (pre 9/11 in america) i used to hang out at the airport all the time. i would skip school even sometimes and get on the train and hang out on the terminals. take my cd player, listen to music. order something to eat. watch the planes take off. ride the airport people mover/train. so relaxing

This boarding sounds similar to American Airlines but they yell out over the intercome "At this time Group 1 you are welcome to board" 5 minutes later "Groups 2,3,4,5 and 6 are welcome to board through the K1 doorway..." I here that at O'Hare Airport and I love it it makes me happy....American Airlines board Platinum and Executive platinum and first class first then the rear of the aircraft to the front in main cabin in groups
