My only audio/sound problem with Skyrim is that I'm unable to adjust the master sound volume within the game, I have to minimize it and then adjust the volume from within Windows.

It's funny how a video about sound is out of sync. Anyway, the audio in Skyrim is fine except that voices and possibly other sounds are really low. I can't hear what they say unless I want to increase the volume and blow my ears out. I have Realtek ALC892. The volume keys on my keyboard doesn't work inside the game and the ingame volume is already set to max. I need to exit the game to change the volume.

The Dwarves (Dwemer) used to live in Morrowind. Some of them moved to Hammerfell. They traveled trough Skyrim to get to Hammerfell. That's why you will see traces of them in Skyrim, but not in Oblivion (the Ayleids used to live in Cyrodiil).
