Im, panamanian, sorry if my english is bad written. Last year I watched this video, and it was my inspiration to do the same project, the problem is did'nt know how to get the information to do the proyect because I had to use he motorola hc08jl3, so that i started from zero, at last i got good results, the project functioned perfectly, I used 40 leds, sometimes it's better to try alone, especially if you are studying enginnering, it's a great experience....

Ok so how did you create the image? You said you made a 28x60 field and then drew the earth shape on it. I am guessing you have 28 leds on your globe making it 28 (lets call them pixels) high. Did you just happen to make the chart 60 pixels long? Does it matter how long the chart is? Sorry for all the questions but I have been dieing to know how to do this for a long time. :)

@TabbyArtifact When I fill the plastic ring with diodes there would be 60 led's. This means that in my case when I moved the ring into a circle (as it is now working) step by step to the width of a diode, there would be 60 steps. I could have put 70 or 80, it does not matter but then pixels in the image would be collected in width and elongated in height. It is not so important.It is important to adjust the rotation so that the image of a circle only once and write it from beginning to end.

very nice work! i am trying to a propeller clock i am using an avr microcontroller, i am calculating the time it takes to return to the same place and turn the led on each time at this point to display a point at a constant place but i am wondering if it will work as the motor is revolving very quick so it may draw a ray of light not a point and whats the rpm of the motor you used? and thank u in advance

Тhat's the whole point. Оn а paper I made a table, size 28x60 field. Horizontal lines representing each of the diode( logical status of LED-s) in certain segments of time, which has 60 (NOT have to be 60) then I drew the continents of the table. Where is the land that I put the''1''and where the ocean is''0''. I then programmed the picture, so I enrolled column by column in the controller. It's a little hard to explain, but I hope I have explained the essence of the whole thing

мислим да сам већ наводио шта треба,  лед диоде, контролер PIC 16F877 ili 16F887, oсцилатор, пар отпорника, стабилизатор напона 7805 и то је то што се тиче електронике, остало је овај механички део. Нацртаћу шему, мада се све види са плочице и постоваћу овде у коментаре
