  • @Jedhaase

hey retard learn to spell before you judge

  • @mercanaries3 how the fuck am i judging i just said there not wasp, and this is the internet fuck face correct every one

  • @Jedhaase

LOL first of all it's they're not "there" there is a location

  • @mercanaries3 bitch grammar dosnt fucking matter

  • @Jedhaase

    That was almost English.

And yes, I love to poke fun at you "Thank God I'm stupid" types.

Internet or not, English is NOT that hard to master.

  • @Jedhaase there not wasp? is that a sentence?

  • @dubbski25 wtf, nerds on here grammaring every 1

  • @Jedhaase There not wasp?

Maybe you meant "They're not wasps."

    And yes, they are wasps.

    Flunked English and Biology, eh?

  • Why didn't you step on it and kill it?

  • @espntimestwo - They aren't harmful to humans. Why would I kill it?

  • @MyRealityBytes i got stung by one

  • @MrDyson01 - You probably got stung by a Japanese Hornet. They look almost identical to the Cicada Killer Wasp. Hope you are ok. Hornet stings can be extremely painful and dangerous!

  • Obama has nothing to do with wasps you hater!

  • @padude64 Okie dokie.....that was totally random.

  • @padude64 Oh I see where you got this....a comment that was made over a year ago. LOL. So I am a "hater" because I don't like Obama....Next thing, you will say I am a "racist" even though you don't even know me. Bit judgmental there. padude64. Thanks for the laugh.

  • @padude64 fuck you, retarded loser.

  • Don't confuse them with Bald-Faced Hornets (a large yellowjacket that is not yellow) Same applies to the European Hornet A large social true Hornet. These do sting and can be a hazard to others. They will aggressively defend thier nests if provoked. They are still beneficial though.

  • Interesting video well done. Cicada killers are a bit alarming because of their size but are almost harmless unless you mishandle a female wasp. The males do not sting. Completely non aggressive with a singular task; To bring cicadas to feed their progeny. European Hornets are a different matter ( They STING) Along with the yellow jacket wasps. All are beneficial and should be tolerated as much as possible without introducing a sting hazard to others.

  • Oh my gosh! that thing is huge!!! I cant even think about getting stung by 1 of those!

  • A couple of years ago I witnessed one of those wasps catch a cicada in mid-air. They fell next to the fence and about 5 minutes later the wasp flew off with its prize. Pretty amazing.

  • Those things are really BIG! They made a burrow in my backyard And I was scared to mow the lawn!

  • Even though they aren't supposed to sting you, they scare me! They are so huge - they freak me out. I still run away from them.

Also - they look very similar to Japanese Hornets and other large hornets, who will sting!

  • so a destra

  • Just carry around a bottle of raid as you mow. Those fuckers will drop like flies.

  • Probably wouldn't kill them lol, They take care of pest infections of bugs that harm your plants. I garden next to a female's nest with a male one buzzing around me and they ignore to the point my mom could almost pick one up.

But there's one called a European Hornet that poeple unfortunately mistake these wasp. These Hornets are very much dangerous with a crazy painful stinger.

  • I live in harmony with the cicada killer wasp. Nest under my deck. They leave us alone and conduct their business. Only 5 or 6 per nest. A peaceful bee.

  • Gah! that was crazy. We have a lot of cicadas where I live but I've never seen a wasp that huge. I think I would be very disconcerted to see a wasp that big. Even if I knew it was harmless lol! Just something about large bugs... When you think about it, we shouldn't be scared of insects because even the biggest ones are so much much smaller than us. But it's because they're so powerful for their size! I mean, that wasp was towing around something that weighs more than it does!

  • Cicadas for OBAMA!!!

  • Cicadas are loud, very annoying and won't shut up. Just like Obama. Maybe a big killer wasp will come haul him away...lol!

  • LOL

  • B. E. A. UTIFUL!!!

  • wow, I even felt scared for that cicada.

  • lol! Yes, it was quite shocking to watch! I had to edit the sound out because I was saying,"oh my gosh! oh my gosh! gross! gross!" haha!

  • awesome footage

  • oh my god nature freaks me out

  • Yeah, me too!

  • ARGH! This gave me the heebie-jeebies! I hate wasps. They terrify me! But I still gave ya 5 stars, 'cause you're my friend...

  • Thank ya, Spammy! I hate these giant wasps too(I don't like cicadas either!).

  • That was so sad to me... :[ I love cicadas...

  • wow, I feel so much smarter now. You're a regular Marlin Perkins! Great scoop.

  • Such a nice guy...

  • Where do you live? The Island of Doctor Moreau? lol! Just kidding. I loved that comment and had to take it. Hahahaha. Interesting video, really.

  • I've seen these bogus things all over NJ in the last few weeks - that's what they are?!

  • That was really cool!

  • Hey, I saw your yearbook pic! Very cool.

  • Thanks!(Wish I still looked that young!) Where's YOUR yearbook picture???

  • Tell ya what, IF I can find it, I will post it. It is quite shocking.

  • Sandi, hide your small pets ... that thing would carry them away.

    Beautifully horrific!

  • OMG

    2 inch wasps

    2 foot ticks

Where do you live? The Island of Doctor Moreau?

Cool video. I would have smashed both of them about 5 seconds in.

  • HAHAHA! 2 foot turtle ticks!

Wait 'til I post the owl calls I recorded last night...It sounds like I live out in the jungle somewhere.

  • Hahahaha. Love your comment!

  • wow...so then this vid shows the stinging? great catch!

  • I had to take out the audio - I kept saying,"Oh God that's gross!" LOL!

  • You are one brave lady. I would have screamed and called the exterminator. Fun fact my brother can kill wasps and bees with his bare hands.

  • I am terrified of these huge things! But I just read that they are pretty much harmless unless you harass them. I will just keep my distance...

  • We have a lot of these things. They are amazing flyers, and quite intimidating, but they have no interest in people. We try to control the population by playing whack-a-wasp with tennis rackets. They're hard to kill, but they never attack. They just want to cicadas.

They only live for around a month, so other than being scary looking and digging holes in my garden they're really not much of a pest.

  • Thanks for putting that info here for everyone. I only discovered how harmless they really are when looking up the info to add to this video. It made me feel alot better! I don't have to be terrified of them anymore. (We have lots of these things flying around my yard.) Still...the sheer size of them creeps me out! I don't like large bugs of any kind - I don't know why.
