You know, regardless of how I feel about Ron Paul, and I really like him in a way, the coverage of him is so bad, it scares me. It is indicative of what is truly wrong with this nation and the severity. I love his thought process, that he actually HAS one. Now those racial slurs - he knew of them. He bragged about them way back when. It breaks my heart. But it is WELL aside from the point that coverage of him is INEXCUSABLE. It is the OPPOSITE of so much as decent journalism.

Ron Paul is always interesting to listen to and his ideas sound tempting. But of course none of them will ever come to fruition. His ideology is not new and although everyone screams for a smaller government, they scream even louder when something goes wrong and they want the government to do something about it.
@medular I agree, nothing paul is saything is new, but that's mainly because what he has to say is parallel to what presidents like George Washington has said and done, and things like what Abraham Lincoln has said, and even our Founding Fathers. Ron Paul realizes that the people should not fear the government, the government should fear the people. The government IS the people, but it's been so strongly perverted that it has to be changed, and a smaller government is a good direction.

Perhaps moderation makes the difference.

But my point is that with such a large federal government, the actual voice of each citizen is not heard. Most laws made are based off of morality, which is immoral all in itself. With a smaller government each state's people would have a greater chance of being heard, and their demands will be better

Then in Clark County, Nevada there were more ballots than there were registered voters.
