  • Now that she's grown she doesn't have the (only sometimes) troublesome transition low to high. I was always worried she might get a deduction for a dead hang, but no problems with it now, looks like she's even more of the ub champion now!

  • I love that she's grown. really emphasizes how excellent her form is!

  • i dunno if i agree that he kexin is the best of this era. i think the chinese are good and have some skills, lines, etc. that no one can compete with but i dont know if they have the full package.

anyway, she does look a lot older. i swim and this might sound stupid but she has the upper body of a swimmer now - broader, strong chest/pecs area.

  • Training all events more evenly pretty much helped rather than just focusing on bars. (:

  • She looks so much older than last year.

  • BEST!!! BEST!!! BEST!!!

  • How old is she?

  • 17+

  • she is amazing! If this kid is around in 3 years, she'll have a great chance to be Olympic bar champ again!

  • Still got the same quality and beautiful technique as the OLYMPICS.

    GO CHINAAAA

  • Yeah!Yeah!

  • Wow, she's been producing top UB routines for 3 years already :D I smell a Khorki <3

  • hope not!!! that means a lot of gymnasts will be robbed of their gold medals :)

  • Why ROBBED? If she sticks around for years and years and she hits this EXTREMELY DIFFICULT routine she'll be winning FAIRLY.

  • I mean Khorkina got a lot of medals she didn't deserve.

  • I knew you meant that but that's wrong. She only lost when she fell for a reason. She was the best then just as Kexin is the best now.

  • She was overscored for especially the last part of her career, especially on fx. For example, Bi deserved the gold in 96 and 1997, Van De Leur in 2002 etc. I trhink Kexin is far more superior on uneven bars than Khorkina, 4 release moves not including the pak!.

  • We're talking exclusively about UB. Khorki was the best on the UB in her era. He Kexin is the best on the UB this current era. Oh and by the way, the code of points was DIFFERENT back then. Obviously Svetlana didn't need 4 releases in her routine to get a 10 start value. Now that the CoP has changed He Kexin discarded 1 release... get with the times babe. Love A x

  • Not on UB. The only title she didn't deserve was at the 1996 Worlds. She OWNED bars! Pretty much like He Kexin!

  • She missed her final connection in the qualification round, too. I do hope she makes worlds though!

&& I love these leotards on her.

  • I don't think that was a miss. The field was not very strong and she lowered her SV accordingly. Not necessary to take the additional risks, she's already the class of her field.

  • But she's been doing that 1.5 into full twisting double tuck for such a long time. And her swing is definitely sufficient; her dismount is usually always beautiful, with or without the extra casts.

  • she landed her dismount too low at japan cup and the qualification round for this. it's smart for her to take it out and i think she should just take out the 1.5 altogether, which wouldn't even affect her D score (7.2).

  • she also only just came back from being injured. Why put unnecessary strain?

  • She'd done it at the Japan Cup before this comp.
