  • right on...calories in/calories out. Worked like a charm for me...just stay under 2000 calories a day. All the rest is...well you know.

  • Yup, i agree with breakneck12. I'm suffering a little right now eating a lot less than i use to ... but here in a couple weeks my stomach will shrink, and i'll feel full eating a lot less... and thereby lose weight.

  • I posted here 7 months ago. I have lost 60 pounds now eating less and exercising just a little bit more than before.

    It's so simple. I eliminated sugar as much as possible and strictly limited the white flour or breads I ate.

    I went from 200 pounds to 140 and now compete in mma at 145-150 class. I'm super strong coming down from 200 lbs and dominate. I'm in my off season so I'm back to 175 and I'm ripped. Way more than when I was 200 lbs and I'm stronger than I was at 200

  • What I never hear people say when talking about weight loss is how your stomach will adjust to and get used to eating less. After about 2 weeks of eating way less than you used to, you will be fine and not be hungry and thus will lose weight all other things being equal.

    Never deprive yourself of goodies you enjoy, just eat less of it and move on.

    After a while people start to figure out that they can have tons of vegetables and fruits in place of a candy bar... but there's nothing wrong with a chocolate bar every once in a while.

  • plus if u bring carrots or something to work eat like 20 baby carrots its more filling then a chocolate bar and it makes you feel good

  • You're advice is really sound, I have seen a lot of you're videos and agree with em all. Also about the diet thing, I do not believe in diets. If diets really worked, we would not have 20000 of them. It all comes down to how many calories you eat, as you have said :)

  • When Steve says "eat the foods that you like", he is assuming (perhaps incorrectly considering the imbeciles that comment here) that you already eat decently. I don't know anybody who can eat garbage all the time, morning to nigh, and feel good.

  • People who criticize Steve are either in denial or do not know what they are taking about. As for myself I lost ~5 pounds in a month doing exactly what Steve is saying and I'm not the only one. The same information he is giving you is the same information you are going to get from a good dietitian.Period. What everyone should keep in mind is that Steve is not telling you that you should eat McDonalds everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner. The examples he gives are simply illustrating a point.

  • Thanks for your vids. This time I am doing as you say. I am going to eat what I like but cut in in half and save the rest for the next meal. I also will round out my plate with salad and veggies instead of fries. I didn't eat special food to gain weight so why eat special food to loose weight?

  • heers steve, your videos ahave helped my over the last couple of years learn about calories. Im now 1 week into my diet and excercise and have dropped 7.4 pounds! Thank you, oh and i had a bit of mcdonalds yesterday but i was able to counter act that with excercise and the rest of my calorie intake for the day, so you really can eat what you want, just moniter the amount of calories!!!! CHEEEERRRSSS
