@assym2006 Very true, but our knowledge will be very limited until then because we can't predict when, where, or if they'll show up, and most of our information will be coming from biased "ghost hunters" who believe every electrical disturbance is an old family member :P. If supernatural beings do exist, then they may allow us to study them one day, but in the mean time we can't get hard data; usually all we have are unreliable eyewitness accounts. That's the best science we can get for now.

However, many supernatural topics involve entities capable of leaving our universe at will. If that is true, then they control whether or not they want to be studied, their responses in experiments, and the conclusions the scientists would reach. In other words, the science is ultimately based on testimony, not the empiracle testing required.

Love, happiness, spirituality, etc. have no scientific value, but is very important nonetheless in day to day lives. Just because something is not science does not mean that it has no value or is not real. Even Richard Feynman, one of the best physicists of all time, was able to convey this to his freshman physics students at Caltech.

Even if there is an afterlife, we certainly won't experience it in the form of this universe, with anything resembling a human body, etc. But for a deeply spiritual person, spirituality transcends space or time. It is an awareness that people are more than statematter.
