Yes I have seen a guy that old in 88 with a Mohawk, trying to sound cool. I think he was just burnt out from the drugs he took during the original 60s-70s punk movement and tried staying "cool" for the kids.

Also, he looks more like Rodney Dangerfield than anything. When I played this game back in the day, that's always how I imagined his voice to sound like.

You don't have to wait for the 5th pass to record a jump height in the High Jump. If you're on the right side where the measuring stick is, you just hit the A button to kick your board out at the top of your jump and that's it, you're done.

Man, I learned a lot from this review. I freaking hated the button mashing high jump and the impossible (for me) pool joust, and the control in general for most events was just tricky as heck.  The freestyle was the best event by far, but I was always too overambitious in my tricks.

But I never really played Skate or Die, mainly as California Games and 720 overshadowed it where I was.

Yeah, I ride goofy and I'm right-handed. And I do want to point out something about the High Jump. If you hit the A button in mid-air, it will count your jump and end the event. You do not have to wait for the final pass.
