you really thought he used a kfactor? he uses his same old prostaff just painted like every other pro, they always get it painted because then the racquet gets advertised and the player can get money
He hasn't used that pro-staff since 2001. You can tell in the frame and his game. He didn't have anywhere near the pace off the ground with the old 85. I think he's one of the few pros that actually uses the racquet they sell on the shelf. He probably has it customized in some way but I haven't seen anything on the various tennis boards, such as tennis-warehouse, to prove he just has a paintjob. If you have any pics I'd like to see them.
This series is the best Federer practice video I've ever seen.
The forehand is SO effortless ! My understanding is that he uses his waist and shoulder so perfectly and in good balance and rhythm, then on top of that is the perfect folding of forearm and wrist, it is just nice timing.
the best here is Waitaro thank u thank u thank u for those videos , u can´t imagine how much i learned from them. i wish i could visit tokyo when fedex and co. re there for the tournament. ciao waitaru xxx ang grazie xxx
I absolutely agree. most people who capture the pros practising either 1) have shitty cameras. or 2)cant seem to keep it steady. here its good quality video and you get to see his groundstrokes again and again, and you can observe his form and consistency! Thanks so much!
You can see the difference in his shots once he has warmed up a little. The follow through and wrist movement is much more defined and the footwork is 10X better. Always warm up!
anyone know why he switch to k factor anyone ? he was playing much better with ncoded ones

he's playing the same racquet since 5 or 6 years. simply with a different painting due to commercial reasons of wilson

his forehand is so versatile! he can hit it closed, 3/4, open, on the run, inside out. this is why i have based my forehand on his!

Yep. It looks wristy, but I think his wrist is really loose. Seems to flick the racquet through the ball, with very little wrist muscle involved.
Watching this before playing has magnified my game to the nth degree.
THANX, Waitaro!!!

his body rotates, stops, then his arm sling shots around. I can't fake my racket speed that fast.
Hsua 5 years ago
His forehand really is not extremely wristy.
