I did this same thing in my living room...very little area to land since there was stuff on the floor, namely a super cub plane that i had next to the wall and like an idiot i look down at the transmitter trying to change gyro gain and of course i didn't have the throttle all the way down and it had drifted across the carpet into my super cub, bursting it into peices everywhere. you should check out the video where a guy is hovering a raptor 90 in his living room...filling it with smoke
Looks like your blades and flybar paddle is out of track and also check the center of gravity of your heli. Twitchy bird.. I suggest to lower the head speed when your hovering in a small place.
I love flying the in the living room and yea my T-Rex 450 bit me a couple of times but it's well worth it. So far I've just broke a flower pot with no damage to me copter. No pain no gain. Ha ha ha
It is not much room for this helicopter. I did my first test in the living room, too and the blades were loose and fell off. At that moment i knew, never fly a big helicopter without lot of room.
You are doing good hovering. By the way, the blade tracking is a bit incorrect, isn t it?
Yeah the tracking is off by a couple of mm's. There's a slight bubble in the heat shrink on the top of one of the blades which is causing it. I really need to just throw my carbon fibers on.
My DX6i's set to 80% @ 50% throttle.... So from mid, 75 & 100 stick position my rotors @ 80%,90%,100%. It's nice cause when I flick the 3D switch the only difference is the negative pitch. The heli dosent jump cause it at 80% @ mid stick. This gives me stability in the wind & very responsive... Normal Throttle 1-0%, 2-20%, 3-80%, 4-90%, 5-100% Stunt 1-100%, 2-90%, 3-80%, 4-90%, 5-100% Normal Pitch 1/-3, 2/-1.5, 3/0, 4/+5, 5/+10 Stunt 1/-10, 2/-5, 3/0, 4/+5, 5/+10
Very nice hovering!!! We both almost have the same heli's!! LOL I was gonna pick the Blade 400 too but the Belt CP fell into my hands at a wopping price of $45 so I dumped another $40 into it and she's good to go!!!!! Can't wait for your Maiden Flight outside....
I have never seen one of these in person, but I can just tell by watching numerous videos of the Blade 400 that you are in fact right about the disclaimer, "Kids... don't do or even try this at home!"! Uh... kids aren't allowed to fly this serious of a bird right? LMAO! Psycho pilot Rob rules!
LOL nothing like heavyduty rotowash. thought you were going to take out the couch was waiting for blades to fly . awsome your braver than me . I go to the garage with my 450 trex .dont ever stop flying it gets way better.

I just got a Blade 400. I was gonna get an SR but the LHS was having a Big sale. $250 for a PNP with everything less a TX. I have a Dx6i already.
Like your videos....

CG was ok but the track was out. I was lazy that day :) Recirculation was playing hell with it the most.

Not bad on the hovering. Try not to get too crazy on flying it indoors unless you have lots of room. Like you said, they can be very dangerous.

Gee that was scary. It always scares me to fly indoors. We are looking for a gymnasium that will let us fly this winter.
