I will not lie...EVERY TIME I hear this song I break into tears....mess my face all up lol...tears all over the place lol. And to think each time I say to myself, "I am NOT going to cry," but I can't help it. It's so true. This journey is not easy and God never promised an easy flight, He only promised a safe landing - if we follow Him and do as we're told...but even still, the journey doesn't GET rough it IS rough...so this song is so real...so real! He topped the charts in my book!

What a beautiful voice! I've always loved to hear him sing. I do agree that I would like the song better if Jesus' name was mentioned. Never the less, it is a beautiful song from a beautiful gift to the body of Christ and I pray that God continues to use him, bless him and keep him.

May I add to the discussion. We are saved by the blood of Christ and R N our natural state sinners! We come to Him by faith& and it begins:He that begun a good work is faithful 2complete it N us.What is perfect? Isnt it mature my friends? As we submit in faith, 2 peter 1:5 takes place when the Spirit of God works to add unto our faith, goodness, patience, etc. Sanctification is the work of a lifetime. Yet at every stage, when submitted & obedient we are in Him perfect at that stage of growth.

@prssur He is saying exactly what the Bible says and that is simply that we are saved by Gods grace and not by our works. He is not excusing sin, he is just saying that Jesus paid the price so that we can be free of sin and strive for perfection, yet he is being realistic and saying that we will not reach Total perfection,which is why we need Jesus on a daily basis. It's not a sin now and pray later mentality, it is simply accepting that we are completely saved by God's grace not our own doings
