  • My rating is not high ( 1820 ) and i have never bothered learning openings, but watching your reviews is great and has improved my game, thank you, much success in the new year !!!

  • My favorite Fischer game is still the one against Robert Byrne. His moves are so WTF and on another level from everyone else who was watching. Please to be doing that game again Tryfon.

  • i like it when you hit me with tonz off variations:)

  • Shock..there's so many stuff....Its really bored

  • Happy year 2012 to you, Tryfon. I hope you will continue a series like that, brilliant chess explained in an understandable way, I like them much more than your bullet or blitz vids( which I use for entertainment) as I can learn a lot. One thing, if you are a pawn up and an engine only shows 0.9 that means that youre position is slightly worse from its point of view...

  • Love the variations. Gives you different perspectives and and a more critical angle towards how the game was played. Briloant game - though personally i would have resigned when being crushed by a 13-year old...

  • While I don't think this is the best game ever like everyone says (I don't know yet for what reason), this was a nice explaination of why is important to develop if the attack isn't clear. Thanks.

  • Great video! Variations are meat and drink!

  • Brilliant. Strangley Houdini likes 10.Qc5 for white, where moving the queen back would seem to be safer? Maybe the major mistake was on move 11 as you say in summary, which is made possible because of Qc5, sometimes computers are ohnly looking at the immediate position?

Either way this is the best treatment/analysis of the game I've seen so far, by far.

Great job, and Happy New Years.

  • @Nola213 nope, computers look at all the variations in a certain depth like if the depth is 15 he saw ALL the variations in the next 15 moves.

  • great video

  • Happy New Year Kingscrusher:)

  • Thank you KC, thank you for your generosity and a Happy New Year to you!!!!

  • I hope there are some other games that you have once covered that we can revisit now that you can go into deeper depth due to extended time... thanks for posting!

  • my dad was born 10 days before this game :) Happy new year to all of you!

  • D. Byrne joins the ranks among the most famous Losers in chess history together with Kieseritzky, Dufresne, P. Johner, Rotlewi and Koblencs. This year we send our love to those humbly willing to be on the wrong side of an epic brilliancy. Thanks for the video and happy new year!

  • Does 6.cxd5 Nxd5 7.Nxd5 Qxd5 8.Bxc7 enable white to win a pawn?

  • Happy New Year, T.

  • thanks TG. Enjoyable video.

  • Nice video KC. Happy New Year!

  • happy new year! may your year be wonderful and may you make my chess life awesome!

  • Brilliant !! The knight and supported rook mate kind of people. :D

  • Happy New Year, everybody!! :D

  • Fisher was always very precise and natural. Interestingly I think some recent research comparing world champion moves to top computer engine moves found capablanca to be the most accurate player of all time. I think that research would make a great video in the New year. Love your videos!!!

  • good one..hmm..i am planning to make such video in my channel..with callouts..:D thanks.. happy new year

  • 39:45 is the classic position as Fischer has two pieces hanging the Knigh and his Queen and moves neither!!

  • One is never bored by this game! The greater depth in this video adds to the flavour of the brilliancy from the young genius.

  • Great game to finish of 2011. Look forward to all your videos in 2012. Happy New Years, KC!!!

  • Great video; thanks for all your videos and Happy New Year.

  • thanks for everything KC!

  • Wasn't bored for a second, that was phenomenal!!!

  • I think you were afraid to bore people going through all those lines. Around 27:57 : why would white play 14.Nxg5? You immediately considered the instant "human" recapture but 14.Be2 seems like going for the lesser evil. (After further examination Qa5+ looks crushing later anyway.) At 41:32 21...cxd is another human instant recapture, totally interfering with the comp line. If you want to look at the comp line, then let it speak for itself! ;)

HNY K and thanks for being so passionate about chess

  • Thanks a lot for this crushing video, happy new year from Belgium!
