You can Get the CD "Kiddus I Rocking Rebel" with this exact song on it as well as 20 other great songs from this obscure artist. The label is MVD Audio. They are online. For some reason the direct link can't be used here. Do a search and it will show up.
The "Rocking Rebel Vol. 1&2 " release contains this movie version of "Graduation In Zion". It is the first time to be released. The Rockers soundtrack version and Dubstore version are the same. It was a different shortened version edited by Chris Blackwell because he did not have Kiddus I under contract. Thank God we finally have the exact movie version to listen to!!!
There is also another release due out in December 2009 called 'Rocking Rebel: Vol 1 & 2' which is a double cd with 21 tracks, 12 of which have never been released and 3 are different versions of tracks on the 'Rockers: Graduation In Zion' compilation recording. With all that, the biggest Kiddus I fans should be satisfied!
Other recordings of his to check out are: the song 'Merry Chase' on Grass Yard Productions: Vol 1 and a track called 'Viva La France' on an album called 'Crossfire' featuring Freddie McGregor, Cat Coore, Rugs, Gregory Issacs and a few other roots reggae legends.
In 2004 at Earl 'Chinna' Smith's house, Kiddus I recorded his first full length album called 'Kiddus I - Inna da Yard' which is a more acoustic, rootsy folk album rather than roots reggae. Some 'pure' reggae fans have not embraced it, however he has just released a new full band studio album called 'Green Fa Life' on the 25th of June 2009.
Dub Store are also in the process of remastering an album he never released called ' Jah Power, Jah Glory' from 1979. They are also compiling is recordings from between 1983 to 2006 called 'Universal Messenger'.
As bobbyarce mentioned, Dub Store Japan re-released most of his recorded singles from the 1970's on vinyl and CD. A compilation called 'Rockers: Graduation In Zion 1978 - 1980' was released in 2007 which has most of his singles from that time and it is a truly righteous roots reggae album!
A love dis tune.I really really love the rasta culture for the simple fact of the things the singers talk about, some of it is biblical an rasta is more in touch with his africian roots than the average "africian american".
i have the kiddus i song but it only last just over 2 mins. anyone has the 3 plus minute one like i just viewed. please help out di i seen. more life.
