We're not even a private school. :l

I went to a workshop as for trying to find a career that might be suitable for me. Believe me or not, when I found the jobs that caught a certain interest to me, the person in charge of the workshop told me: "Is this career in demand?"
I've experienced this situation of my father that wanted me to be a teacher just like him. I haven't followed his advice. Now that he's retired, he told me: "You know what? You took the right decision not to study in this field!" He suffered from a burnout and was forced to retire. I'm still working in a boring office doing boring stuff, but the money is still pouring in. To bring the bread and the butter is essential to me. However, while making money, I will save some to go back to school.
You say its ok to just be you, and its true to an extent but the reality is different. Most of the people in the world are unhappy with where they are because theyr doing it for other reasons. More people should think that way and accept the diffrences in each other.

But I went & decided I wasn't happy there & went to school in my state. When I started I was a bio major. Then my parents set my other option was criminal justice 2 b a lawyer. & I'm happy w/ working with kids, but being a teacher & working with kids is "bad". So is wanting to be a mom before I'm 35. this video is so true, it reminds me of my friend freshman year of HS. he wanted to play football, and note our HS is predominately white and he was one of 3 blacks to play football that year. one was a junior who was amazing so he had respect, one just tried to blend in, and my friend wanted to be him. he enjoyed his rap clothes and kids called him a "gangster" it sucks because hes a good kid who just gets pestered for being what he wants to be and not following the general path. it sucks.

If they're really your good friends, they will stick with you and continue being so while you do whatever you want to do and if not it wasn't meant to last forever. It's just how life works! You will also always make new friends as you continue through life as well, don't forget that! :)

you know what ticks me,
we are born, we get older, and when we think we want to enjoy ourselves , we want to do what we want. then here comes THE hardest years in our academic lives, its easy to say , do what you want, but once you realise that if you dont study , your whole future is going downhill. right now it might not strike you but when your old and have a job that is not satisfying in terms of money. that shyt will haunt you.

we are allowed . in this world we have alot competions for a great job. it is great for me because challange only progresses me foward so i can overcome. i need that form of negativity of my parents because it pushes me foward. i want to be a boilogist because i love animals. but even so i must become part of the political division. i can help animals much more with a higher salary and my position. i have one purpose in life. that is to advance humanity

I always wanted to blow glass and make bongs and pipes.
Then travel to music festival's and concerts and sell them.
That lifestyle however won't pay the bill's I have accumulated since I had that epiphany sooooooooo that might have to wait until I retire. lol

My parents tried to talk me out of studying psychology b/c they both have degrees in it and aren't using them. It took me 19 months for me to convince them that I wasn't changing my mind. I'm glad I didn't let them talk me out of changing majors.
