  • Another thing I'd like to point out is how rarely you see any Steelers RBs or WRs getting jacked up by defenders, or any Steelers defenders getting jacked up by blockers. It leads me to believe that one of the first things the Steelers teach their players is awareness. Steelers players know how to keep their heads on swivels, so it shouldn't be their problem if they catch any of their opponents unaware. If you're unaware on a football field, then you kind of deserve to get creamed.

  • I like what Tedy Bruschi alluded to near the end there, about offenses and QBs not recognizing the differences between man and zone coverage. Big hits on WRs are more likely to happen in zone coverage, so if the QB doesn't recognize it, then he's potentially hanging his WRs out to dry. That shouldn't be the defense's problem, yet the league is making it exactly that with these new rule changes.

  • @emico67 wow i dont think i could agree with you more, if that would have been harrison breaking flaccos nose then there would have been at least another hundred grand fin under his belt, but since it wasnt the steelers i guess its all good..,.

  • Goddell is taking all the action out of the nfl he's trying to turn it into soccer. People know there are risks and what they are getting into. If they don't wanna get hurt then don't play it's that simple. Imagine if Dana White took punches to the face out of UFC no one would watch it. that's watch gonna happen to the nfl if they continue with these dumb rules

  • you gotta love harrison... he makes the money he knows the risks and he will spend every cent he makes to enfrorce he beliefs that happen to be 100% correct imo. Not to many players out there would keep sinking money into the company that is screwing you by giving them fine after fine. but when you wanna make a point and show what you think is right you should do it if you can and he does jsut that

  • I agree with you emico.!! trying to calm down "rough play" for gosh sake's ITS FOOTBALL... not a dang ballet recital.. I agree with James.. now this new one of if your feet leave the ground first... GIVE ME A BREAK.. i say get rid of the SOB's trying to make these stupid rules.... fining the whole team??? @^#$*(((#^&^ IDIOTS..I AGREE... IDIOTS

  • Keep hitting! Hits-burgh!!!!!!!!! You aren't on the Steelers to be nice.

  • I'm sure if any Steelers player would have punched another team's player in the nose and broke it...they would have gotten suspended.

  • The problem with this rule, which was evident last season, is that this rule is not enforced fairly. The Steelers were targeted. There were numerous inexcusable plays by other teams that didn't even get a flag. If the NFL wants to enforce this, make it applicable to all players...not just Steelers players.

  • I agree with james 200%

  • I have so much respect for how james harrison has conducted himself last season... Keep playin football the way its supposed to be played boss...

  • Preach on James! The NFL is being run by a bunch of bean counters that don't have a clue what they are doing.

  • @jamaidens Bean counters are the death of a great many quality products. Take a look at all three Detroit automakers during the 1980's and early 1990's for an example of the kind of damage they can do.
