Do you know how to increase shutter speed on that camera? I have it and I'm trying to experiment with 'light painting' and I can't find out how to increase/decrease the shutter speed so that I can do so. Could you tell me how?
@soontobepopstar97 If you set the camera to manual mode, you can take a shot with up-to a 30 second exposure. I believe for any exposure longer than that, you'll need a remote such as the RS-80 N3.
Nice review. Check that definition of what it means to have a crop body. It's how the size of the sensor affects the field of view. The 20D is a 1.6 crop making the field of view of a 28-105mm lens equivalent to 45-168mm. View finder coverage is not affected, you can get 100% coverage easier on crop bodies than full frame although the 20D has only 95% coverage.
I strongly suggest to people who own this camera that they should purchase an M42 mount and use older lenses. I ditched the default 18-55mm lens that came with it and now use a Pentacon 50mm 1.8 almost exclusively. The only downside is the lack of auto-focus but frankly with a large aperture like a 1.8 you can be a lot more picky with focusing if you do it manually
Its not all about pixels.. you can buy a Fujitsu or Sony with 18million pixels for pocket money but they will never match the quality of a camera like the d20 for instance
I'm still using my 20D. Its an awesome camera. Sure the screen is small but doesnt bother me. I will upgrade to a newer Canon only if this one breaks. 8MP is still very good especially when its free from noise like on the 20D :)
dude you finally put a video. I been waiting night and day for the next video keep it up I hope you talk about sony cams also and lens. keep it up look at you from Canada

Can you use DSLR lenses on a Canon 20D? I've had mine for a few months and clueless on what it can and can't do
1030ct 8 months ago
@1030ct
it depends on the brand of the lenses in question. This camera, by default, will only fit canon EF and EF-S lenses.

Yes, but not as wide a shot as a 10mm lens on a full frame camera such as a Canon 5D.
slrlens 9 months ago
You can get a fuller frame shot if you use a 10mm lense, right?
