Ice hockey in the desert? Nah...that was a bad move anyway. I say let the Canadians have the franchise. People in Phoenix tend to save their money to buy Cardinals tickets where football is King. Every large Canadian city should have an NHL team....as should every large American city have an NFL team.... or NBA and MLB teams for that matter.
Rumors are out that Winnipeg could have a team as soon as the 2010-11 season. A Globe and Mail writer spoke recently of it happening as did the Manitoba Moose radio play by play announcer. Also, King Bettman was apparently in Winnipeg a couple of times recently.
Hope though a team gets back there soon. It's a good hockey town and Lord knows it would help the NHL.
I'm from Hamilton myself, and I say give a team to Winnipeg before Hamilton. We already have to Leafs and Sabres within an hour drive from here. Winnipeg has the all new MTS Centre, sure it isn't the biggest arena out there, but it'll sell out every game. Better then the 5000 in Phoenix, lol hockey in the desert.

Hamilton's AHL game average is around 4100 and the AHL's average is around 4800 while the Moose is around 7900, that just proves Hamilton just doesnt deserve one..
@BrendanX13 nah Hamilton would easily support an NHL team..Hamilton just doesnt care about AHL hockey they want the real deal..You could put a team in Brantford Ontario and it would sell out..Ontario population is 12X bigger then Manitoba's..i would put a second team in Toronto or give Hamilton a team even before Winnipeg or Quebec if given the choice

Kitchener and London would be able to support a team but wouldnt get one because of marketing and U.S television..It will be hard enough for Hamilton or Winnipeg to get a team.
Don't forget there's alot more citiies and things to do in south western Ontario compared to Winnipeg or Manitoba. That's why you guys sell out your B level hockey games.
