With the advent of the internet and peer to peer sharing, musicians don't need the record industry to sell their music anymore. New artists can put up a youtube page, and sell their stuff and build a fan base online. The RIAA's days are numbered and they know it.

You know what I love about Lombardo? How tasteful he is. Modern drummers would just overwhelm this song with three minutes of double bass and chaotic fills out of sync with the rest of the band, but Lombardo always uses tasteful fills and precision double-bass when necessary. He enthralls me more than those who may be more technical, but have nowhere near the same classiness.

The most memorable interview that i read from slayer...was Tom Ayara revealing that this has all happpenned within our own century...and that we are a mirror of the society that surrounds us.....memories of WWII were a lot closer in the 1980's, so it might sound a little abrasive now...but back then it took a lotta balls , and they were totally against the grain
