There's a "Guess Pitch" option that allows you to guess the type and location of every pitch. If you guess the right pitch type, the strike zone glows red. If you guess the right pitch and location, the red target appears.

i remember when i used to play the show 08 on my ps2 and i was hitting like above .500, 9 hr, more than 30RBI. i thought i was going to make the cut but i didn't. when i got send dow i was so mad i ended up hitting 320 34hr and 85 RBI when i got called up i made it clear i wanted to stay in the big league so i won the al mvp and the championship with toronto.

You must do some goals to get closer to the bigs but, you don't have do all of them.For example, there are 6 goals, you can achieve 4 of them and get to the next level.

this game is awsome, my player is 20 in the 3rd year in his contract and has 2 MVPs and a rookie of the year. If your not very good at this game, once you reach the majors, (it takes time, play all games!) make sure you get a hit in every game you play (save after games) if you go hitless just dont save and try again, you will evenually break the All Time Hit Streak record of 56 games and u will get 2000 training points that will really help. (i used mine in Power and got 61 homers) Good Luck!

oh and spring training is good to do but not really needed, you can get alot of training points from it, if you have the patience for it.

I made a closing pitcher and i still have it saved on my PSP. It's pretty okay because :

1. It's MUCH quicker. (Like 1-3 innings only.)

2. It's easier. Just pitch to the strike zone or get the batter to chase.

I was wondering, is it easier for Closing pitchers/ any type of pitchers to make it to AAA or the MLB club? If it isn't, which position is easier?

go to ur favorite team. pick a position that they are weak at. make fielding opportunities few if u dont like fielding and teammate batting "quarter"

e.g. my fav team is the marlins so i made a center fielder cause maybin sux. i have fielding on few which is about 3-4 opportunities per game. and teammate batting quarter so i can steal immediatley. thats what i do.

Well if you're talking about the road to the show it's kinda hard to get the bats going with your player. gameplay isn't much if at all harder than many other baseball games

i the ps2 version an i made a 1bman 4 the mets cause i wanted 2 play in there new park mi guy was 18 i went 2 AA an i saw that the mets kep trading away pitchers an then it pooped on mi screen an i said the mets was trading me 2 the blue jays 4 a starting pitcher an i was mad so finished mi AA career with the jays i had 390ABS 6HRS an 105RBI's and a 450AVG the next year i got a springtraning invite from the jays an i got add 2 there 40man roster an i got a spetember call-up against the tigers

there is a long list of first names and last names that are recorded in the game so if you have a common name or a name of a baseball player, you should be announced like that, otherwise it will just say your number.
