@filth69ify1 It is black metal or at least this was the last album that had the black metal sound (guitar and drumming style). Everything else afterwords was just gothic influence dark metal. I prefer not calling them "extreme gothic metal" because goth in metal is an oxymoron title. They never go together, the only bands that I can recall that can actually pull off the gothic metal sound is Moonspell, Seraphim Shock and Type O Negative and thats it.
