haha bomb, my crv 5spd got the k24 vtec in it, pretty jokes i ran against my friends v6 TL from a line and i killed him 4 car lengths. his was auto tho
not vtec.. as you can see it gets louder at around 5200rpm because you stepped on it full throttle.. but when you shift, it went down to around 4900rpm and when it approached 5200rpm again, I didnt hear it get louder.. fake
Actually I just saw in your profile you are from grece so it might be different there but in north america the CRV with a B20B or B20Z don't have Vtecs....
its called a crvtec, you use the block of a CRV and put a vtec b18 or b16 head on it, the same concept as an LS/ Vtec. So get your facts straight. Most people use the crvtec in hatchback civic's but the idea of it in an actual crv is kind of cool
thats not necesarily what your talking about, his may say vtec on the head because he put a vtec head on it. dur! Nobody talks about stock hondas, because honestly hondas are crap unless you do some work to them. they are way to high, way too underpowered, and dont have enough options compared to other cars. SO. if you want to talk about stock hondas, go talk to your grandpappy dillhole.
uh 1st gen CRVs did NOT come with Vtec. and the video doesn't have crvtec either. i would know since i have a modded crv. so stop talking out of your ass and get your facts straight.
i just bought a CR-V and were gonna swap the head for a vtec head , its a b series engine this should be a lot of fun. still have not decided if to use itb's or go turbo. Ill keep you guys posted.
its better if you go turbo , cause the aerodinamics and the weight of the CRV wont help if you decide on itbs. I would like to do the same thing to my CR-V and my nephew "Pito's LS v-tec Turbo" advised me the turbo its a better because of the weight of the CR-V, but i wanted to go with ITBS in the first place , i guess turbo its th way to go. Peace out and check out my nephews car "Pito's LS V-tec Turbo" its back to claim what's his , ya hear CFT guys the black coupe its back.
I thought the only way to v-tec a 1st gen cr-v was to do a head swap! They never had v-tec, But the b20z had a cool intake box thingie and a little bit more valving to wake it up a little bit.
Sounds AWESOME! Oh, and by the way, its a VTEC. B20 VTEC. Very nice. ;) I have the 98 automatic. How are these manuals and how is the car/intake going for you?? I'm curious because I might put one on. :D
Of course this was just a joke it's not Vtec I only put in a cheap Cone filter on my OEM intake tubing with a 3 inch adaptor I took from my other car's exhaust piping I had lying around.
However the sound is pretty nice for a wannabe truck. It sounds just like a Civic with an Intake ;)
but if I hat a bit more buget I'dd go with a B20-Vtec, convert it to OBD-1 and it would be fun. However this is my winter beater, no time/money to waste on that one...
Dude! You have a B20 right there. What are you thinking? lol. Of course it's VTEC. Only one of the most popular, most swapped, and best performing ones Honda makes! I'm telling you bro. Is this a 97 or 98?
Still a B20! ;) And what do you mean you hope I'm kidding? lol. I'm being serious. I drive a 1998 and it has the B20B4. ^_^ 2.0 AWD double overhead cam. =D
Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control! >_> I knew that. At high RPM's theres a hydraulic control valve that is activated locking the rocker arms to ride on the high lift cam profile for better air fuel mixture. I know what a fucking VTEC is, I just didn't know that the CR-V's had non VTEC B20's. My bad dude. =/
my crv has vtec on it. and it is completly stock. it says Vtec on the head and on the back... in chrome.. its B20Z
