How to Update your PSP Firmware to 5.03

1. Connect your PC to your PSP. 2. Go to PSP\GAME, Create a folder "UPDATE" (without quotes) 3. Download the file in the description. 4. Copy the file in it to PSP\GAME\UPDATE. (the folder you opened) 5. Disconnect USB. 6. Launch the update in the PSP. 7. Follow the steps. 8. Done. Thumbs up so others can read it and do it fast instead of wasting 5 mins. @REDZOEU u need to go to psp folder then games then create a folder called update all capslock then put the eboot file in the folder and get out of usb mode and go into games and click on thefile thats how i did mine just there hope this helped

difference between 5.03 OFW to 5.03 GEN-C is that 5.03GEN-C is the CFW (custom firmware) that is use for those NCA (Not Completley Hackable) PSP or those PSP with v3 motherboard.. mine has the TA-88v3 so for me to play iso/cso (old or new) games i must install 5.03 GEN-C or B or A (C is the latest)....HOPE this will help for those people who is still confuse bout firmwares..

after copying the update 5.03 in psp/game/update directory, iv seen the PSP Update ver 5.03 in my psps mem stick under GAME BUT. when i proceeded in the next step which is to update to ver 5.03, its like i am running a game then theres this message pops out saying: The game could not be started.
