According to Kissfaq and other sites, the band was The Barracudas. Four songs were issued, two each on 7" singles. Chicken was released on the second single sometime around late 1967 or early '68. Peter is credited under his real name of Peter Criscuola as Drummer / Perc. The problem with all of this is the single may have been recorded earlier than the release (1966?). By early '68 or so Peter had probably moved on to another group prior to Chelsea. Anyone with any other info pls share.
@Craptasticize Peter Criss was in a band called Baddacuda prior tojoinng Chelsea. The Barracudas (a different band) were from England and formed inthe late 70's. This may or may not be Peter, I wouldn't know for sure, but it is likley representative of the kind of music the bands he was in prior to Chelsea were probably playing.
