@BMWLDRider Some people around my area still plays but not many. Its the reason why I gave up the game. It was getting harder and harder to get a straight pool game. I like all the other games like nine, eight, one ball etc but straight is where it was at.
What an outstanding video! He just ran off 28 balls, while narrating, and made it seem so easy. Those big follow shots on the breaks aren't as easy as they look.

@8down10 well i guess it depends who you're playing. Playing by yourself in your mother's basement is probably not hard, I agree. Then again, "people" are probably talking about playing it at a high level in relation to other games.
@8down10 You must be pretty darn good if you think that. Try playing someone at your own skill level to 250 points. Not only is it a game of endurance, but every miss can be punished with a loss against a skilled enough opponent. The name of the game is consistency.
@8down10 It's not "difficult" to run a few balls - it's difficult to continually do so leaving oneself multiple safety valves in case something goes wrong, and never mess up position play once there are few balls left, the crucial time in each rack when there is no safety net to fall back on. Try it! You'll be surprised how soon one runs into problems in this seemingly straightforward pool discipline - and one isn't yet good at it if one's continually got problems to overcome.

Like all great ones, he makes it look easy. Pure genius. The Babe Ruth, Ben Hogan, or Michael Jordan of his sport.
