  • does anyone know what song they're singing at 3:40?

  • godbless william basinski

  • "I think the world is broken..and human beings are broken..and we all just want to be fixed, but how do we fix our lives? Well we can't, but if we can share are broken-ness with eachother...." that's love.

  • devendra's a mirror, y'all <3

  • Where did part 3 go??

  • WHAT SONG IS @ 1:45?!

  • He is so right. Humans are broken.

  • Coco Rosie y Anthony me parecen un poco mas auntenticos a diferencia a Devendra ... puede parecer un poco fantoche con su Ego.

  • BOUNCY BALLS! :)

  • cocorosie & antony some of my most favorite faeries!!! although confused why this devendra person is in this film........

  • Yea I am also unsure about Devendra...he seems like a walking cliche...a good cliche however, just not very original

  • Antony has such a good sense of humour.

  • Davendra is so fuckn' awesome!!

  • basinski <3

  • hahaha bouncy balls

  • one of the best docu's i've seen,

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that starts at 1:53??

  • It's a version of :"Rapture," which can be found, in a different form, on Antony's self-titled debut.

  • what is the first basinski song, where he talks of his music being amniotic? its so beautiful

  • Where William Basinski talks of his music being amniotic you hear a loop called ''D|P 1.1'' from ''The Disintegration Loops'' series. The whole series is amazing. Basinski's ambient tracks in general can get intensely emotional.

  • hahahahaa that banhart bit towards the end is the only thing he has ever said that holds any merit

  • what about them is annoying? I hardly see people more true to themselves.

  • Is thet a film or a band?

  • why that??

  • "your fucking hare krishna, rhama rhama... get the fuck out off here"

    so amazing... my favorite part

  • i was wondering if they or any of them were vegetarian. at least banhardt is apparently.

  • @4cats1room the girls love fried chicken sadly

  • and is Sierra plus theremin amazing or what?

  • Thank you for posting this lovely document - W. Basinski and friends - so heartening . . . fills me with hope and wonder. ooo xxx to all who were (are) there

  • I just love the bouncy balls song!:D

Does anyone know if it´s a antony song or what? I can´t find anything about it anywhere and I really want it:(

  • My guess it that they were doing an improve kind of thing where they'd sing suggestions form the audience. Don't know but that's that I was thinking.

  • Hm... I can't help finding Devendra Banhart superficial in an odd way... He seems more façade than content. I dunno.

  • I think he's just high. :P

  • people have a tendency to be more 'themselves' when on camera. these people usually dont get this type of attention. remember, they are children. ;)

  • @Trigaranus he just got a bit more successful, a bit more exposure that's all. he looks for people- he knows what a good artist is, and he just wants to be around them. not to be a psychoanylist, do a group dynamic analysis. i watched an interview where he says hes not a good guitar player. he's like ringo, cocorosie john and paul? is that an alright analogy?

  • @Trigaranus no, sorry that's an awful analogy. yeah, at times, you can see that he wants to be/tries to be weird, quirky, eccentric, but he doesn't really have it in him. he doesnt strike me as weirdly innocent as cocorosie. but then again, lets not be cynical. we're not all perfect.

  • @Trigaranus Don´t you get it? He is just a child, stop treating him like a man...

  • @Trigaranus

He probably feels the same way about himself from time to time. He's very internal. :D

  • 4.20 lovely Antony!! I long back to Dalhalla and the summer of 2006

  • thanks for uploading this,

    I loved it

    Who's that guy at 1.00?

  • William Basinksi, known for his work with ambient music especially 'The Disintegration Loops'.

  • Does anyone know the name of the first song? the one sierra's singing under a blue light?

  • it's japan

  • it's definately not japan..

  • minute 3:00 of the song japan...

    and then say you're sorry...

  • it may be similiar in some ways, but this is totally different from Japan

this documentary aired under the noahs ark era didn't it?

  • yup, but just because the song appears on the next album doesn't mean that it didn't already exist... but whatever baby

  • Using the word "pretentious" is lazy journalism. Saying some things are pretentious is to offend oneself with ignorance and a vague conservatism partially rooted in a small percentage of jealous fears within. Maybe.

  • maybe, but probably not

  • Who is the "ambiotic" musician? I don't recall seeing his name in this documentary?

  • william basinski

  • merci

  • did this come out before people could recognize what was pretentious?

  • chowdershower - i would argue that it's quite pretentious to call something/someone "pretentious"

    dig?

  • well, i would argue that your argument has nothing to back it up whatsoever.

  • by the way, i'm not saying that cocorosie is bad or anything...i love them...i absolutely adore them...i just think this documentary could have been way more thought-provoking, and it does not do them justice.

  • I agree. Very pretentious. Talented people, but pretentious.

  • William Basinski is pretentious, i agree, but the others I feel are just doing what they want to do with their lives and making a living doing it. Whatever

  • we could do this forever. yr initial comment..."did this come out before people could recognize what was pretentious"...has nothing to back it up whatsoever.

  • hahahaha the last 2 1/2 minutes of this is hilarious

  • look at siera during that bouncy balls song. gorgeous lady

  • what kind of drugs are they on..??..i want those too...

  • chiba refinnej

  • bouncy bouncy bouncy balls.. ;)

  • who's the person in the begining??

  • hahaha. I also think women and voting is not a good thing. hahahha

  • lol @ hi you're fabulous

  • hahaha

  • this genre is fucked up

  • this ("genre") is real.

  • HAHAHA i love President Bush toooo HEHEHE

  • god, i love what devandra says about going to that place where time disovles. it's true.
