My fiancé is in the Army and she got her orders to Hawaii. It sucks. A lot. Because I am supposed to move there but because of the stupid government saying that same sex marriage isn't legit, we are going to have to be apart longer until I can actually afford living in Hawaii. It sucks.
My husband is in the Navy and it's really REALLY hard. Even as a straight couple its difficult. Now idk about any other branch but I know in the Navy you can be openly gay but you can't be in a gay relationship that they know about. It's really unfortunate and stupid. I'd say unless you're already in a committed relationship, just move on and let them focus. It's not worth having to be secretive and waiting for them to come home.

I honestly don't think i have the strength to stick with it for 4 years of her being in the navy. i know it sounds really shallow, but it would make me worry a lot and plus I kinda like haveing my gf around soo yeah :/
