The water refillable can have a 1/4 cup of soap to improve suppression. A cheaper refillable fire extinguisher is the common lawn chemical sprayer. I think a couple of year around spigot's with a 100' of garden and a simple nozzle can be cheap insurance from fire.
I'm lucky enough to live close to and know a local fire extinguisher company. I have certified extinguishers in my kitchen, garage, and shop. I also have some large "non certified" extinguishers as backup. That said, kudos to all those volunteer firemen out there. The guys near me are top notch and respond incredibly fast(I know for sure) and have the highest rating a volunteer department can have! Thanks to all who serve in that capacity!
Morning my friend great info just put two in the BOV along with a couple of big ones in the house (your workshop is starting to look like mine) lol!!! time for a tidy up be safe. Roach
Change the batteries in your smoke detectors twice a year, good time and way to remember is when the time/clocks change... spring forward and fall back.
FIRST!!! Great advice. I have a smoke detector in every room, and two fire extinguishers (ABC) in my home - gotta get one for my car though...(puttin that on the list)!
