  • When a former president comes to Washington for a special event is he flown on an airforce plane or does he fly commercial?

  • If there were any military jets around theyd probably wouldve been circling around the vacinity at high altitude.

  • North west in backround!!! <3

  • I can't believe you weren't clubbed for filming airforce one lols.

  • i have a toy airforce one plane

  • He stopped off in Shannon airport Ireland to refuel on way to afghan.. Cause he even said he enjoyed a nice pint in the airport

  • They have suvs following the plane during the taxi.

  • Its kinda intereting that AFone doesn 'Line up and wait'

  • @AdamW582 once the pres is on board no plan may taxi, land, or takeoff from the respective airfield he/she is ever at

  • were r the f22s

  • @xXxKARNALKrKx

They don't fly with him unless needed to for an emergency.

  • no air security ?

  • what happens in vegas stays in vegas...... thats tight ass security two cars following the plane.

  • @tntboom420 That's just the security that you can see. I'm sure there is a lot more that you cant. Dont mess with Air Force One haha

  • @CaseyBoy13 oh yeah no shit huh lol im sure they have satellites looking down and all that intense stuff snipers on rooftops tatical teams everything

  • Why not the AFB by the Los Vagas Moter speed way i forgot what its called ugh

  • @DalesBug But why LAS in stead of Nellis

  • @iloveunitedairliness I really couldn't tell ya :D

  • jeez their taxiing pretty fast

  • @FanofMythBusters and when Mr.Prez isn't on the plane. :)

  • lets all hope that the plane does not crash on the mountains

  • Question anyone might be able to answer: When Obama made his secret trip to Afghanistan (7,000 miles) do you think Air Force One had to refuel in flight?

secondly, how could they take off from Andrews Air Force Base if their fuel tanks were probably filled to the brim? They didn't have to use Dulles like they did last year when he flew to Saudi Arabia?

  • @TruthfuLie hey was looking into that...the 747-300 has a range of 7,700 statute miles. maybe they didnt but would like to think they wouldnt chance 700 miles or so.also iam not sure what model plane SAM 28000 is

  • @screaminhemi why would they use old technology? the 743 isn't even in production anymore. not that they couldn't get one second or third hand, but i just don't think the USAF would do that, especially when Boeing has the 747-8i for order.

  • @brownbrownson 742..

  • @kevininsimi yea, i know.. i was on an ipod touch at the moment..

  • @TruthfuLie The VC-25 has a listed range of 6,800 nautical miles. Range varies greatly depending on payload and winds aloft. According to the City Distance Tool the distance from Washington, D.C. to Kabul, Afghanistan is 6,930 miles, the equivalent of 5,974 nautical miles. That would leave about 800 nautical miles reserve, assuming they took of with full fuel. So we know that the aircraft has the range to make the trip. Whether they refueled in-flight or not is unknown.

  • @sacpilot thanks for your answer! you're certainly very knowledgeable.

Follow-up question: On the news it was confirmed, that for Obama's return trip back to the U.S. from Afghanistan, AF1 stopped in London Heathrow to refuel. With this information, can we then say they probably refueled in-flight for the previous original flight TO afghanistan? (given that they had enough fuel to fly non-stop from Kabul to London in the return trip)

  • whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a horn

  • is it bush or obama?

  • Maybe its Air Force Two

  • the president is in las vegas again the plane just went right over my house followed by f18s of course

  • what? cant the president gambling a little?!

  • where are the f/18 ??

  • they never have f 18 with air force 1 they just have 2 airforce 1's so you get confused

  • There can be a lot air force ones its just airforce one when the presidents on it

  • @deccno Only 2 There is 2 Air force one planes all the time when the president leave United states there come 2 Air Force One planes and only 1 of them is there the president.

  • @MackseDK Every plane can get airforce one because its just ofically Air Force one when the presidents on it

  • @psp310 no the f 18 are in the air already waiting

  • Did they use the Janet Air terminal by any chance? lol

  • Maestoso....

  • I would go to lv for the shows not to gamble if I was president

  • what did the president go gambling or somthing lol

  • Yeah he blew all the Economy money on the Black Jack table at Ceasars lol :P

  • Nice video =) KLAS is a nice airport.

  • George bush was on that probably, cool video

  • are those black cars in the background just behind the plane Secret Service? escorting it to the runway?

  • In this post 9/11 world they might just be.

  • thats kinda cool to see

  • Didnt look like AFO was taking off into wind!

  • wasn't much wind to speak of

  • didn't know she had sirens

  • lol

  • @bigroy38 Boy are you stupid.

  • Kinda looked like they'd crash in the mountains.

  • thats a boeing 747

  • really ?

  • Sweet! I saw AF1 on the tarmac in '96 and accidentally saw it take off while stuck in traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike in 2002. This was cool.

  • Awesome vid, thanks for posting

  • Hey!!!!! on my 16th birthday

  • looks like he is going to AREA 51

  • He isn't allowed to go there.

  • Just think the next plane is prob gonna be an a-380

  • Nope

  • what 787 777 767

  • duno

  • 747

  • i know what it is im asking what the next one will be

  • well be clearer next time mate

  • 747-8 or 787

  • 747.

  • There is a lot of traction with the 787 apparently. One of the big advantages is that the 787 has a lot less security concerns.

  • No it won't. There are very few airports in the country (and the world) that have the runways long enough to accommodate the 380. It was announced months ago that Boeing will retain the contract for Air Force One for the next interval.

  • i love las vegas!

  • a 747 for one man?! you think he could have settled for a 737 or an A320 but nooo he needs this. and if it's a matter of range, he could at least use the 777 or A340. this is just crazy

  • He didn't choose it. It's government issued. He is not the first president to use a 747.

  • The presidency is bigger then just one man.

  • i think his dad was the first US prez to use a 747.

  • Yeah.

We in the netherlands have a Fokker F70 for our government and queen.

  • Hmm, I see your point. However, there are many people on this aircraft. Not just the president.

  • 600 people?

  • i'll bet President Bush did some gambling while he was there!!!!

  • When was this?
