  • Any need for all those pedals ? you need practice

  • is there any use for this pedal for acoustic guitars?

  • HAWKE! Is that you?

  • Did You notice tone loss using NS-2 ? Thanks!

    Great vids !

  • Russell Brand? o.O

  • holy fuck i want that guitar

  • i love all you're pedals man! awesome

  • what if you dont use a pedal, i just use the distortion on my head but wanna minimize the feedback, i dont wanna change my settings though, i like the tone i get once i start playing its just the feedback once i stop is pretty bad.

    thanks.

  • @raysocietysystem Im wondering the same thing i prefer not to use pedals and just plug straight in but when im not play my guitar and the volume is up i get all this hum and feedback

  • ISP Decimator is so much better though

  • i have a question. i have a metal muff going into a noise suppressor on my pedal board. the noise gate dosn't mute the feed back coming from the metal muff pedal. should i connect it to the FX loop on my amp head?

  • You cold try yes, it may not work. Feedback is probably more likely to be due t the settings on your Muff. Try rolling off the gain a little.

  • @craigmcarthur1 i just switch from guitar/ metal mufff/ noisegate/ amp to guitar/ noisegate/ metal muff/ amp. I've been hearing a lot about how you are suppose to put a noise gate at the end of an pedal chain, well it's before my muff pedal and i get no feedback at all so that solves my problem. thanks

  • @ahpuchdro2 plug into the noise suppressor first, then into your distortion. SHA!

  • @kingurbane listen to the the man, noise supp is first in line every time and if you have this get a compression sustain pedal

  • does it silence feedback?

  • It can do if the correct settings are dialled in. It may affect the overall tone in this case however

  • RUSSELL BRAND!

  • So many effects man. Eric Clapton would have your head! Not that Eric Clapton is that relevant to this video or anything

  • looks like you have every pedal known to man right there

  • Very cool riff!

And im playing through a peavey 6505, do you think this could help clean up that hissing feedback that comes from the amp itself. I figured if i tried the 4 cable method it could get rid of that preamp humming.

    Thanks in advance!

  • my delay pedals tempo very faintly comes through my amp, like a clicking noise. Would this sort this out? and if so would it just be best at the end of the chain completely? Jake

  • russel brand with short hair?

  • omfg i hate ephiphones

  • @RandyFoxKiller Whats wrong with Epiphones?

  • @RandyFoxKiller Please post a link to see your Gibson.

  • Great demo man.

And your song Adam's Apple by your band Vinyl Future kicks ass haha.

    Keep the Music alive!

  • Holy shit! That thing rules! Nice guitar though, the same as Chris from Less Than Jake :)

  • is this pedal affect your tone? what setting should i have for it? i undestand if is to less i get the buzzing noise but what if is to much? thnx

  • zjeb

  • you kinda look like Russel Brand

  • What is the pedal beside your Noise Supressor , the white with red letters

  • @22HeroHeroine I believe its the Boss Compressor.

  • I have a question. Does it only eliminate noise when there is no guitar being played or does it kind of "clean up" you actual guitar playing too. I was wondering because it's hard to tell in these videos (sound quality)

  • Only when ur not playing

  • @craigmcarthur1 does it suck tone?

  • It can do depending on the settings dialled in

  • @baconbag i play out of a Peavey 6505+ and when you use the ns-2 on the lead channel i REALLY notice a difference of it cleaning up while your playing. especially when doing picking patterns. The peavey has a tendency to amplify all the little mute noises your palm will make. you can get away with it if you're amazing a palm muting, but with the ns-2 i think its a lot more forgiving in the really high gain spectrum.

  • If you don't buy an adaptor soon, all those batteries will be quite expenzive! :-)

  • Everything runs off mains

  • Where do you put it on your pedal chain order?

  • Depends what ur trying to do. I can go in the aps fx loop, I tend to run gain pedals thru its loop in front of the amp

  • wen i play sweet child o mine but i let the notes ring there is a horrid noise of all the notes chumbled 2gether wud the NS-2 fix it so there is no blurred noise please respond quickly

  • some people use two noise suppressors, i was just wondering why would someone do that. is it because the amp itself gives a lot of feedback without any pedals so u need one for the amp and one for the pedal? How does it work

  • 0:01 to skip the add

  • exelente pedal, man lo tengo es una masa....

  • you suck

  • such a beautiful guitar

  • what in the ns2's effects loop?

  • i know this remove the noise when the OD is turned on the combo. i have a squier hss and it has not a good pickup, so i have a pretty loud noise on clean too. this will also remove, or only on OD??

  • I only need it for the efx loop to put my big muff and rat in. Will they sound the same or does it screw with them too much?

  • great vid great sound great guitar palyer and amazing guitar.....

  • dude you need a board for all those pedals, maybe you have one, I don't know. Carrying all of those individually to a show must be a bitch!

  • Yeh I've got a few pedal boards of different sizes, so when I go to a gig everything is pre wired and powered from DC

  • Hi, I was thinking of buying this pedal. Does it suck a considerable amount of tone out of your guitar sound? And is this pedal easy to use?

  • If used incorrectly in can suck tone considerably. As with any pedal it can potentially colour your tone. SO use with caution and only buy if you have a real need for it. If you have a noisey setup it is worth looking at the other potential causes, pickup and amp quality and settings, cable quality, power suppy quality etc

  • what a diffrence!

  • Great vid! My amp, or something with my gear is very noisy, I think it's the calbe couse I have a chair with wheels on, so I've "driving" over them a couple times, do you think it's only couse the cables?

  • Yup damaged or poor quality cables can cause noise. Power quality power supply can cause issues aswell. Most likely cause is amp settings and the electronics of your guitar

  • @craigmcarthur1 Thanks for awnsering!!

  • whats the name of just this song ?

  • Its in the video title and the video description

  • Wow, that guitar looks great in that light. I haven't taken the pickguard off mine yet but this is inspiring. Also my new pickups don't have covers (cream neck and cream and black bridge). So it's a little less shiny.

  • Awesome demonstration and gear.

  • it kills your tone at least a bit, doesnt it?

  • 0:01

  • If I get noise during my playing while my amp is on the highest overdrive setting (Insane - Spider IV 75 Watt) Will this pedal reduce that or is it something else causing that noise? Look at some of my videos you might be able to hear what im talking about, please comment or PM me back.

  • you really want to get rid off the noises and have more effects than you can handle? very simple, buy a gforce or prophecy rack and get a sinple pedal board to control it. go pro dude...all this peoples are creating tons of noises

  • Is this just a type of noise gate. Nice riff.

  • dude you got a shit load of pedals but still nice

  • i need that shit

  • would this cure all the noise problems i have with Eruption?

  • I got a Crate GX10 120 watt Combo Amp and everytime I put it past 2 if gives horrible feedback but awsome gain and distortion.Would this pedal help take away that static sounding feedback without messing the gain or distortion?

  • i have a very heavy feedback problem with my amp but i want to keep the highs and the gain in, does it help if i buy this NG?

  • I think I actually like the sound better without the noise gate. Without the gate there seem to be more dynamics present which adds an extra dimension. Guess it's a matter of taste though.

  • I got a noisy amp...would this help?

  • Yup it might, work out what is causing the noise irst. Is it definitely the amp, or is it power supply, quality of cabling, guitar etc

  • are u using NS2 at the end of your effect chain or as first pedal???

  • I use the ns-2 at the start and run all the drive pedals on my board thru its loop

  • One question: I wanna buy this pedal and put all of my 'dirt' pedals in the chain of the NS. BUT I have a single coil Tele which also hums. Will it also get rid of the hum of my guitar? Or only of the pedals in the chain? Please awnser

    Guido

  • fuck my life thts a hell lotta pedal.

  • thanks man this helped alot

  • Dude, in 1:07, When you finsh your part and try to mute your string, There is some kind of sound coming out befor it getting quiet! Is that your Delay effect ( Or maye Chorus ) or thats the Time NS-2 Nneeds to get ride of Noise and acts like Noise Gate ?????

Nice video and well played ;)

  • Is it recommanded to use it when doing solo with sustain???

  • not bad....is there any pedal that can emulate better than ns-2?

  • not video related but dude you look exactly like my friend ray, like its uncanny how much you look like him haha.

  • sweet riff :D

  • Hey. Are there any other noise supressors than this one which are not too expensive. It ain't expensive but i want to compare it..

  • as for me, i don't have any pedal, then the NS-2 doesn't changes anything with my sound right?

  • Im guessing you have too much money.

  • Hey there. Thanks for the demo. Really cool.question. I use a Big Muff Bass on my 5string. So lots of distortion = lots of noise. Would this noise suppressor help? or is this pedal meant for just guitar? Thanks much in advance.PEACE

  • Hi,

My grip is noise of amp´s drive channel. I wonder if if will work too.

  • Would the Noise Suppressor work fine on a bass? I get some noises when I play sometimes, can be a pain. Especially when playing with the band.

  • great demo man.

i really need to get one along with about half of the shit you have. jesus man, your gonna start a structure fire!!!

    haha.

    thanks

  • Hey man, i just bought one of these and i nee help on how to use the knobs and how to hook it up through my FX loop. Do i send it through the input output jacks on the pedal, or the send and return?

  • Two ways to use it. One is in front on the amp so Guitar -> Input NS-2 -> Output NS-2 -> Input of amplifier. The Send NS-2 -> in input of effects -> Outpur of effects -> NS-2 Return

Or effects loop: Amp Send -> NS-2 input -> NS-2 output -> Amp Return

  • @GuitarRocks23455 if you need a video of the effects loop i can make video becasue someone asked me the same question no you need a video?

  • @posiedonpowertrio Yeah that would be great, thanks man

  • not a pedal question! guitar! how was the set up on that when you got it? is it a good player

  • I bought it from a bandmate who is a handy guitar tech so when I got it had an excellent setup.

  • hey i have a question i just bought mine yesterday and it wasnt takin away any of the quality and was taking away all the hssssss and feedback and stuff but i tried it again this morning and it took away some of the quality of only one of the distortions can u help me fix this?

  • i like how you set up the pedals in a horse shoe shape

  • I think i need this, but can you tell just really good it is in reducing buzz, and is there any other way to reduce buzz?

Also, does the NS-2 colour the sound or just reduce noise?

  • See the answer about 3 comments below. Cheers

  • Ok, thanks dood :D

  • my amp makes a really annoying buzzing noise when i have the distortion on would the boss ns-2 reduce the noise my amp makes?

  • Check the pickups are grounded and potted properly. Poor power supply to the pedals and the amplifier can coz unwanted noise. Hi Gain boosting pedal will always amplify any noise within your signal path. Better quality pedals, better quality cables, good power supply will all help and noise suppressor like the NS-2 can be used to help reduce the noise

  • Do you have the ns2 plugged directly into your amp or at the end of you pedals?

  • I have a few pedals in the NS-2 Loop. So the NS-2 is plugged into the direct input of my amp. And the pedals I want to noise suppress are connected via the NS-2 send and return loop. That make sense?

  • Yea man. Thanks a lot

  • Looked it up ..

    Thanks !!

  • Hey .. Can a single NS 2 go through both the fx loop and the front of the amp simultaneously ?

  • Not to my knowledge

  • Yes it can.

Look up boss ns-2 x connection on google.

  • hey bro nice video. my friend is letting me use his ns-2 but when i run straight from my guitar to my amp head it does really do anything for the feedback or hum. do i need to run it through my loop on my amp to get it to cut down on it. andalso is this pedal made to work like a gate and get rid of feed back or just hum.

  • If your trying to reduce the feedback and hum from your amp, your probably best to put it trhough the amps effects loop meaning its in effect between your pre amp and power amp. Putting it in front of your amp is more designed for elimiating noise created by other pedals

  • alright dude thanx so much.

  • hey im using a Les Paul Ultra with its factory pickups through a Boss ML-2 Metalcore pedal into my Line 6 Spider IV an also a Peavy Valveking halfstack sometimes, the metalcore pedal really has insane hum an squel while im not even playing, but great tone, if i had the NS-2 pedal, would it cancel out the squel an noise during silent parts of a song? for example, im playing with my metalcore and then i just stop playing, will it make it silent? please give me info an help. thanks again.

  • It can be used in this way yup. Need to be careul with the decay time tho so it doesnt colour your tone

  • nice collection there dude! ...would need a massive pedalboard hahaa.

    what's the dl4 like?

  • I like the DL4, its versatile and having the looper is very handy

  • great effective little noise supressor

  • I need one

  • excelent video. no annoying talking, no bull. just show me how it works, great band to dude.

  • what is the order of putting the ns2 in the loop

i put it after the CS2 n den in b/w send n return i put my dist pedals n eq7n then output of ns2 to my modulation n time effects n den finally to amp....

    is dat correct?

  • I have a Fender Strat and a Fender 65R Amp. When I turn the amp on, (Bridge Pickup) There is a massive buzz, But when I turn it to (Bridge and Middle) There is no buzz. Would this pedal help?

    - Adam

  • Hi Adam, it sounds like you have a grounding problem with the bridge pickup. So either it isnt grounded properly or needs re potting. I would take the guitar to a guitar tech to have the electronics checked over before making any purchases.

  • Alright then, Ill get that checked out!

    Thanks,

    - Adam

  • no most strats have mad feed back coming from the bridge pick up to answer your question Adam yes this pedal would help eliminate the buzz

  • fender strats have single coils so if you have the switch to just one coil then you'll have buzz

if you switch it to 2 pickups at one like brigde and middle it kindof acts as a humbucker and gets rid of some of the buzz but nothings works like a real humbucker

  • Hey Adam, I have the same problem with the same set up. (fender strat, fender 65R) did you find out what the problem was? Thanks.

  • Gracias por tu video, amigo.

  • Just a question...I was looking into a Noise Supressor but had a question about how they worked. There's an amp at school that I use for Concert band, Jazz Band, and some other courses. It's a Fender Amp (M-80 Chorus I think it's called) with built in chorus and overdrive channels. Would the noise supressor do anything for built in distortion? Or does it only effect what's between your guitar and the amp? Thanks.

  • It is possible to put the ns-2 in your amps effects loop to elimate noise from the amplifiers pre amp section

  • Ah, that's what I thought. Thank you though!!

  • i run mine straight into the front of the amp and it works fine and it doesnt suck tone at all

  • Do you ever have problems with it screwing with your sustain?

  • @Botdra no none that i can notice but i am running an esp ecplipse into a h&k so it has huge ammounts of sustain.the only thingi noticed was the pick attack seemed to be a little tighter.oh i have it in the effects loops now and it sounds the same as running it into the front end

  • @boogieou818 Perfect! I did see one demo comparing this to another Supressor pedal and I did hear some tone sucked out though...any problems for you with hi-gain?

  • none at all i mainly use the hi gain channels and sometimes a ts-9 as a boost and i cant notice any difference maybe those guys had their settings wrong

  • @boogieou818 Perfect! Thank you so much for your help!

  • I believe you may have just sold me on the pedal. From the sound of it, it does exactly what I'm looking for.

  • I like your style Dude!!!

  • what the fuck this isnt hardcore????

    this stinks omg

  • oh. my. god. you have a shitload of pedals.

  • Nice one bro, I'm gonna go buy one for my Line 6 stack because with their Insane distortion with my Ibanez 7 string has some hella unwanted noise even with the built in gate it gets just above the threshold. I bet your helping Boss sell quite a few of these lol Thanks for that video, very well made. Nice set up too man, I need one of those Line 6 looper stations too :-)

  • lol u use a line 6 head as a stack?

  • very well made video

  • lympheneas

    ....

is sprung off his ass on your dick and balls

  • What?

  • So it works on the principal of a threshhold noise level? Nice demo.

  • More or less. Similar to frequency limiting

  • What are you using to power your pedals?

  • In this video i think I am using a basic DC power brick. I currently use a Gig Rig Power Generator to power my Pro 14 and the I use the Pro 14 9v DC out to power 3 Gig Rig Power Distributors. This allows me to power each pedal individually

  • jesus i need to get one of them!

  • i don't think Jesus is handing out pedals man...probably should look at guitar center instead.

  • Should i get the boss ns-2 or the isp decimator?

  • ISP i would say

  • Alright man, thanks.

  • So Noise Suppressor is the same as Noise Gate.

Sry for stupid question but i dont know about that alot =)

I got noise gate in my Digitech RP-150 and i dont know if this is the same. Does that clean your sound to?

  • Yup more or less the same thing. It will allow you to reduce or limit the amount of hiss or background noise caused by the effects your using.

  • not quite, noise supressors reduce the level of the noise, ie. supress it; and noise gates don't let a signal through until it is above the level of the noise (effectivly removing it completely as the signal from the guitar should be alot higher than the noise, so when you play it drowns out the noise).

but most noise supressors have some sort of noise gate attatched them so in that respect they are the same

  • I am not diminishing -or trying to do so- your video. I find it to be a most delightful idea to post well-organized videos like you did (with text during the video, testing one pedal without the other and so forth). It's a tremendous step for someone who wants to find a ''personalized'' sound on his guitar.

But in the same time your replies are even better! I mean come on you must have noticed: ''haha. you're special''

hahahahaha I mean -call me crazy- but that's what I call ''hilarious'' man!

  • Great video. But most importantly: your replies!

''God help the planet if you choose to reproduce'' I mean, I bet that's the best reply on youtube.!!

Also notice that you're wearing a Pink Floyd Tshirt, which can only be a good thing, especially when holding a guitar and having that stuff in front of you.

Very good mate! Very very good!

  • Thanks

  • why dont we all get along

  • Haha, you are special

  • shut the fuck up you slant eyed cunt. Hes much better than you on guitar you fat shit

  • hello there... Do you know if the gt8 has the noise suppressor built in?! thank u?!

  • Yes it does

  • wow, that noise suppressor helps a ton, completely eliminated your buzz without taking away from your tone, nicee vid man.

  • Haha. God help the planet if you choose to reproduce.

  • well, me bein a noob doesnt change the fact that ur videos still suck~

  • I agree. Your being a noob doesnt alter anything. Judging by your poor diction and overall tone you are not the sharpest tool in the box. Combine that, with the fact your clearly a jackass and your opinion is rendered mute.
