decision to leave?? they snubbed him, offerin the man a paycut. Now he goes to L.A. and brings them to teh posteseason while the yankees and their fans watch the postseason on their sofas. Its a shame. NY needs Joe back. Cashman what were you thinking?
A class act in every sense of the word. There is not a greater man in sports than Joe Torre! Thank you for each and every one of those 13 years! I will never forget them.
Miss you and I hope someday that I can have the chance to meet you.
Joe was the constant steady guiding hand for 13 years of incredible success that he handled with the respect, class and humanity. There is no doubt that without Joe the Yankees would never have been the juggernaught they were.
He really "managed" the team and it was almost corny how decent he was during his time in the Bronx. His grace in victory and character in defeat will be sorely missed and remembered often with reverence. Thanks for 13 great years Joe.
this is a great tribute to mr.torre, he was the best, it was so stupid of the yankees orginzation to let him go, they didnt appericate the most successfull Yankee dynasty under the steinbrenner era. and its still hard to realize when i head down to tampa this year, mr.torres not going to be there, and he wont be in new york this april. god bless you mr.torre, and the dodgers are a lucky team.

Great tribute! Awesome! Even if you're not a fan of the Yankees or Dodgers you gotta give respect to a manager like him.

Joe Torre was a class act. He is someone to
admire and to imitate.
A true gentleman with dignity, character,
and grace. A winner on the field and off.
Theres only one Joe Torre.

Very Moving Tribute To Joe Torre.
Joe Was a class act. He is someone
to admire, and someone to imitate.
He gave us 4 World Championships and
did it with class. There is only one
Torre. There may be future great Yankee
Managers, but there may never be another
Torre.
