I was in boot camp for the U.S. NAVY in 1998,one day they made us stand nose to nose with our bunk mate while playing this song, not a dry eye in the room, every time I hear this song it brings tears of pride to my eyes.THANK YOU LEE GREENWOOD FOR THIS SONG.
Amen to that!! Just can't see any other politicians when I hear this song....he is the only true patriot left in DC whether they be republicans or democrats!!
@2014cwajts71 WTF? this a man who grew up a simple life and is just proud to live in a land so many of us take for granted now. He wrote this for the people, not the government. Why not listen to the whole song, and not just the chorus. This came out long before the U.S. invaded Iraq, and way before Bush fucked us over. This came out when people were proud to be an American, and you needa STFU and get the fuck out if you don't love this country cause you obviuoulsy don't desrve it.
@luckyn40 Yeah you tell him, it's not like this country has always had this imperialist agenda. Unless if you count the coup that was plotted against Mohammad Mosaddegh of Iran in the 1950's or the presidency of Teddy Roosevelt in the 1900's, or the way commodore Perry opened a trade agreement with Japan in 1854, the Mexican, American war of 1846, And the use of pirates during the revolutionary war. If you don't count the last 230 years, America has been about spreading freedom and democracy.
@luckyn40 Wow, are modern "patriots" sensitive or what? All I said was it is good propaganda, which it tis, and you go nuts. Typical american though, assuming all kinds of things and responding with porfanity. No problem though, I figure in ten to twenty years americans will be forced to learn Chinese.
WE should invade... Your account says you are from GB. I have nothing agaist the US, I´ve visit there 4 times, and I think it´s one of the greatest places I´ve ever been in. But your saying that we are communists makes you a dipshit and a troll.
@early254 what do you mean the war? over 1.3 million American soldiers have died in the wars that have been fought in and for this Nation, with over 1.5 million wounded, please honor all who have fought to preserve the freedom Americans cherish, it only takes and s.
My great grandpa served in World War 2 and he's still alive but almost at his last years and I respect everyone who helps protect this country GOD BLESS :) love you grandpa!
I love this song..It makes me cry ALL the time..My Grandpa served in the navy and came back home and he stayed for a couple of years and caught up with us his grandchildren and he passed on October 7, 2005....We played this at his funeral....and i respect EVERYONE who is serving our country..:"(
I'm proud to be a American. And I'm proud of my great grandpa who fought for America in World was 2, he just died this May. This was the song played at his funeral, I cry every time I hear this song.
But I'm proud of America,i'm also proud of my great grandpa, and anyone else who has died or has fought for our country. God bless America
my sis hates this song bc she had 2 sing it alot n elementary school. i like the song. God Bless the USA and all those men and women currently serving or have served n the US Military.
Those 49 people are terrorists!!! What losers. God bless America, the Veterans and men and women who serve America today, from the Revolutionary War to the end of time!!
Right after 9/11, some friends and I went to a local bar. The DJ played this song and everyone in the bar stood up and was hugging each other and crying!! I was never more proud in my life to be an American!!
@jman279 God bless the brave folks that keep us free and allow us to live our lives the way we want to. The cost of freedom is a high price paid by the brave few. God bless you folks. I love this countrys veterans. Thank you again
@kwa81791 Protected your freedom how? A bunch of soldiers went to some third world countries and fucked their defenseless asses, took their raw materials and set up a puppet government. At what point was your freedom in danger? Isn't that just like people today, when there is something horrible going on we invent a language to bullshit ourselves.
@paradoxparody Sad to say, but what you say is pretty much accurate. The military is a bunch of primarily great people but if they really want to protect americans' freedoms they should nuke washington d.c.
@early254 hey I am a communist and I love this country too. I just think we need to be more responsible of how we maintian ourselves as a country because rival countries like China are kicking our asses.
@nivca2 Yes at 2:07 she's sitting down at the table next to an old man and has a woman standing up next to her singing and she's in it a few other times as well.
The word (freedom) don't mean what it use to ask any VET. We are turning in to a communists country again. Its bull shit when you can get a $165 ticket for not having on a seat belt there SO many laws most are stupid laws that are taking away are freedom people just don't see its going on.I am a VET i did 2 tours in Iraq.First it was war on terror then it was about oil now its operation freedom ya somethings missing
@bearpatillo Seatbelt laws are for your own good though. They're proven to save lives. It takes all of two seconds to buckle you seatbelt. The cost of not buckling could be great than $165 if you get into an accident. And you clearly don't know what communism is. We're no where near a communist society. And even if we were, seatbelt laws have nothing to do with communism. All communism is, is just state ownership of industries and property. Don't buy into propaganda. Learn the truth on your own.
@Hiraghm and @ronjazz1 stop arguing, please. I said I'm proud to be an American, cuz I love this country and the freedom that comes with it. I'm not proud of the fact that not only are we always at war for some stupid reason, and are often times fighting with each other. I don't agree with a lot of what is happening in the government or the way we handle things. I am proud to be an American because we are a great country. There is a reason so many people wish they were born here
They died in Iraq defending oil profits, they're dying in Afghanistan defending weapons-makers' profits. They're not defending your freedom, they're defending those who will take your freedom for a dollar.
@ronjazz1 - Not many of them died, and they died killing the enemies of individual liberty. Not many have died in Afghanistan, and they died killing the enemies of individual liberty.
While I oppose the nation building in either place (we should have used them as staging grounds for invading Iran), you've got your head twisted on sideways.
@Hiraghm - you're clearly either incredibly stupid or just insane. The enemies of individual liberty are the Republican Party, your empty, scared twisted head is what they need to finish off their destruction of the American way. Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan are no threat to the USA whatsoever, and never have been. You are an easily-duped, frightened little coward, just the tool that fascists rely on.
@ronjazz1 - Ever hear of the Northern Alliance? They fought against the oppressive Taliban gov't in Afghanistan, which gave sanctuary to Al Qaeda.
We were flying a no-fly zone during the *armistice* to prevent genocides, and Iraq fired missiles at our warplanes. That's reason enough to stomp Iraq.
We should have conquered Iraq and Afghanistan, crushed Iran between, swung west and hammered Syria, and appointed American governor-generals to run them.
@Hiraghm - you'e a fool, a liar and an uneducated dolt. You don't even understand plain English, and you have the intellect of a retarded mailbox if you still believe all the lies George Bush told to get more Americans killed than the 9/11 attacks did. No wonder you listen to crappy music by jingoistic idiots who couldn't get a hit without appealing to morons like you. And socialism? Talk to the rich about that, they're the ones getting it from the conservatives that have stolen your country.
@ronjazz1 - you are a hate-filled failure of a human being (to use the term loosely) without the intellectual capacity to think for yourself, so you resort to leftist dogma and ad hominem attacks instead of reasoned argument.
Conservatives haven't stolen the country, because they have preserved it as best they can under the century long relentless assault of Marxism.
@Hiraghm - Conservatives have most certainly stolen the country, as they stole the '00 and '04 elections. Marxism is a silly, puerile buzzword used by idiots who don't know a thing about economics. You must really hate America and Americans to have such poison in you.
@Hiraghm - the usual conservative hypocrisy: Bush is, was and always will be the very model of a conservative: greedy, selfish, stupid, nasty, sociopathic and treasonous, not to mention incompetent and easily manipulated by corporate powers. The perfect fascist, and the perfect Republican. I love how you hypocrites run away from your idols once they've proven how morally and intellectually bankrupt your fascist ideology is.
@ronjazz1 - no, he wasn't a conservative, he was a progressive. Same big-government nanny-state authoritarian mindset that the rest of the progressives have.
Prove that I even liked Bush, let alone had him as an "idol".
And conservatives CANNOT BE FASCISTS. Facists are on the LEFT, along with Nazis, communists and other socialists. Conservatives are on the RIGHT.
While I agree fascist ideology is bankrupt, it's Obama that's serving as example for how bankrupt it is.
@Hiraghm - run away, run away, little loser. Bush was a die-hard conservative, an authoritarian Nazi, a little fascist mama's boy in a suit, like all conservatives. Liberals are the leaders of the world, liberal countries are the bulwark of individual freedom. Hitler was a conservative, as you know. Liberals move humanity forward, conservatives commit genocide. Bush was a textbook conservative, the GOP would never run a progressive. Fascism=conservatism, always has. Read some history, dipshit.
@ronjazz1 - you're out of touch with reality. You can't be conservative and authoritarian. You can't be conservative and a National Socialist. Liberal countries include the likes of China and the Soviet Union, who've killed millions of individuals in the name of the collective.
@Hiraghm - Hiram, you're in deep denial, and you're very stupid and ignorant. Fascism IS conservatism, writ large. Nazis were conservative, and murdered communists with the same fervor they went after Jews. Conservatives are authoritarians, by any and all measures. China and the Soviet Union were not liberal countries, you moron, they were authoritarian, rightwing, fascist and conservative, which is why they turned communism into totalitarianism, their leaders were conservatives.
@Hiraghm - Hiram, you're in deep denial, and you're very stupid and ignorant. Fascism IS conservatism, writ large. @KneeDeepInThought - The periods of greatest prosperity in human history have been under empires. Also the greatest spread of knowledge and advancement of technology have occurred under empires.
"Imperialism" is a catch-phrase appropriated by Marxists to discourage successful nations from spreading their success.
The greatest failures of civilization, btw, have occurred under socialist systems.
@Hiraghm - as usual, nor a fact in your post, just lies and fantasies. Right now, when it counts, the most successful countries in the world are socialist, which, by the way, is quite different from communist. And the USA was at its best when capitalism and socialism were both in the mix. Your opinions are those of a brainwashed, tool. Capitalism is proving to be poison on a world-wide scale. Greed and selfishness are the hallmarks of conservatives and barbarians, not fully-evolved humans.
@KneeDeepInThought - We should have at the end of WWII. We were in the position with the capability. And the world would be a far better place had we done it.
@Hiraghm why do you have to be republican and a capitalist to be proud to be an american lol ?
the whole point of america is that it is strong through diversity ... you can be socialist and be proud to be an american .. its just people like u are so fcking dumb you dont know what socialism is - giving the low class hard working workers a share in the profits. not just some rich minority cock suckers - this is what trade unions are all about
@Communist2012 - because America is a republic, and capitalism is the best, most natural cultural system on the planet. And *communist* philosophy is diametrically opposed to the very idea of America.
A republic, a nation of laws, not men. Capitalism, individuals trading peacefully between themselves, each for his own benefit.
The whole point of America is NOT diversity. That is false dogma put forward by socialists.
Don't talk to me about trade unions; my great grandfather founded one.
@Communist2012 - don't talke to me about "hard working workers", I'm a 5th generation master mason, who began working construction before he turned 12. "Union workers" and "hard workers" are almost exact opposites.
Trade unions are all about blackmailing the risk-taking producers into giving the parasites the fruits of their labor, creativity and risk.
Respond to this video... - no you can't. You can't be a communist and be proud of what America was, and was meant to be, because what America was meant to be is the exact opposite of everything communists believe.
you can be anything, and still be a patriotic proud american that loves his country ... so dont give me all your bullshit dumbass. i know americans like this .. sadly the ignorant, evil fucks like u speak the loudest, over the majority with normal views. the good american majority of people
@ronjazz1 - The enemies of individual liberty are the Marxists and other socialists in control of our media and our government. Collectivists (Marxists, socialists) are philosophically the enemy of individual liberty.
Taking over GM and the health insurance industry is an act of fascism (another branch of socialism).
@Hiraghm - god doesn't exist, and the people who died in wars post-WW2 died for profits, not your freedoms, which you've happily given up for a false sense of security. Your real enemies are conservative Republicans. The USA was founded as a socialist, liberal republic, with no mention of god in the Constitution, and a denial of any religious basis for the government. Empires have failed time and again, quite spectacularly; all of them, in fact. The USA is failing too, because of imperial hubris
Ive spent my life in service of this country and its people .. Marine corps , federal officer..ect. I would die to protect it and all of you.. most people never see the darker side of life, "content to live in there bubble" and i hope you never have to, thats why i was born. SEMPER FI.
Lee Greenwood visited my high school sometime before 2000 to give an anti-drug / alcohol motivational speech. He told us how substance abuse got him into a lot of trouble as a younger man. However, the desired effect of sobering the student body with stories of harsh reality was not reached. The students cheered and whistled when he talked about drinking and doing drugs. Needless to say, this greatly pissed off Mr. Greenwood. It was rather embarrassing to tell you the truth.
@ronjazz1 and @toddmbloom ok get this stright. lee greenwod is an amazing singer and this is an amazing song. u guys need to shut up. and honestly, if u dont like the song, why the hell are you watching the video? just go away. you clearly aren'y proud to be an american.
Lee Greenwood is a jingoistic bum who couldn't get arrested for his "singing" if he didn't appeal to the basest fake patriotism that idiot Americans buy into. Why be proud to be a fat, lazy, tool of the corporate war machine? Being proud to be an American is the height of stupidity. Just because you were born here doesn't mean you have anything to do with what made America great, and it certainly wasn't being successfully attacked on 9/11. This is a stupid, lame song.
@vampywitchgirl - they're trolls. The tiny, empty, little people who value nothing beyond their own immediate gratification, and in their insecurity are compelled to attack whatever real, whole people value.
@Hiraghm - you're the tiny, empty person who thoughtlessly allows the rich traitors to lie to you while they rape the treasury and steal your freedoms.
I am and always have been proud to be an American. Freedom isn't free, as many know, and I thank my lucky stars to be here today thanks to the men and women fighting for us. Thank you, and God Bless
This is a corny song, but I do stand next to my American friends to the south as they remember 9/11 so, for one day, I too will be proud to be an American.
Even as a young child this song used to overwhelm me with emotions I had yet to fully comprehend, with a sense of pride and longing that even now I can't fully explain.
I'm a Canadian but I agree that our neighbors to the south are awesome and do not deserve to be suffering through a sluggish economy. For everything you've done to promote freedom in the world, you deserve far, far better. I remember 9/11!
But which part of USA does God bless - the Republican part or the Democrat part? Because it sounds like either side is calling the other side socialist/wrong/devil
This song is the reason I joined the Navy. LIke no joke I was watching a recruiting video and at the end they played this song. They also played this song during our cap ceremony and I swear the whole room was in tears.
This song is what I like to call the "comi-killer".
whoo spirit of 45. i didnt go but some of my friends went: we are all in JROTC but the colonel could only choose 4 people to go and meet lee. at least i got to see the videos.whoo Hawaii.
I am a Navy Vet and I love this song...but it has one line that has always bothered me: "WHERE AT LEAST I KNOW I'M FREE", I believe that line could be better written usin' a positive statement.
God bless the USA? He has done that since our inception and what has america given him in return? A country that pretty much holds their middle finger up and says "I will do it MY way not yours" God is sovereign and His mercy is what keeps us, those who do not believe why would you even waste your time here? Go listen to some rap crap or something else that defiles your mind and soul. OH and EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! you wont have a choice
@aarontheman9196 Absolutely NONE of the Original Documents mention Christianity at all. Hell, " God " is only mentioned in the declaration of Independence, which, as important as that is, is NOT really anything related to our way of life. It's just a piece of paper saying " We're free from you, English. ". The Constitution, where we get our American Laws, makes no mention of any specific god or gods. It says " Creator ", and " Natures " God, which are more secular/pagan/deistic terms.
@aarontheman9196 Thomas Paine was not a Christian by a Long shot. He ridiculed the Christian Church numerous times, and skewed them quite fiercely in his book " The Age of Reason ". Paine was either an Atheist, like me, or a Deist, like I used to be.
"What is it the Bible teaches us? rapine, cruelty, and murder. What is it the Testament teaches us? -- to believe that the Almighty committed debauchery with a woman engaged to be married, and the belief of this debauchery is called faith " - T.P.
@aarontheman9196 I challenge you to find factual evidence for your claims. I challenge you to find an official document by ANY of our founding fathers to support the ludicrous notion that this land was founded on such an archaic and barbaric construction as Christianity is.
@aarontheman9196 Read Thomas Paine's book " The Age of Reason ", and then talk to me, otherwise you have no room to speak with the big boys. My Atheism is based on science and reason, as well as looking at ALL of religions track record through out history. Let's see, The Holocaust, Caused by Roman Catholic Nazis. The Spanish Inquisition, caused by Spanish Catholic fools. ALL of religion is Evil, no exceptions. Now, as I said, I challenge you to provide me with solid evidence of your claims.
@aarontheman9196 I've read everything you've said, and nothing checks out. You seem to be another individual bought in by dis-information and quote mining that surrounded the founding fathers, which began in the mid-1800's as a means to use the Christian bible to justify slavery, and then reached a fever pitch during the red-scare of the 1950's, when " In God we trust " was put on our money, and " Under God " was added to the pledge of Allegiance.
@aarontheman9196 So, for the final Time, A: Provide Evidence for your claims, which does not exist as they are blatantly false, or B: Come off yourself. You obviously know nothing of American Political History, nor of the Words written in the bible, nor of The founding Fathers. Your word is Not evidence, merely inaccurate and poor information. Now, Find me a link which supports what you've said, or stop talking, as you are wrong. I can provide you with all kinds of links which prove you contrary
@Kaishakunut 1 i said in my first statement where it is.i guess youre just stupid, or uve got some crazy person's commentary on the documents i listed. why dont you go ahead and read the the declaration, you know, the very first document from our sovereign nation. "We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, APPEALING TO THE SUPREME JUDGE OF THE WORLD for the rectitude of our intentions . . . And for the support of this Declaration, with
@Kaishakunut 2 a firm reliance on the PROTECTION OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." there are several other examples in the declaration. god isnt mentioned in the constitution, however, it is ovious from reading it that many of the ideals come from the bible. they didnt mention god because they didnt want religion mandated by the government, and didnt want the people to feel that it was. however, none of them ever sought to do
@Kaishakunut 3 away with christianity as you probably would seem fit to do. it needs to be kept separate, but there is no doubt that most of the founding fathers were either deeply religious, or diests, like you said. however, they respected christianity as i do, and used priciples from the bible to create the founding documents. several of them in fact had the entire bible memorized. God is mentioned throughout thomas paine's "common sense", which was the most influencial piece of literature
@Kaishakunut 4 in pushing the revolution forward.it doesnt matter that there were diests amoung the founding fathers, because you cannot deney that christianity had a big part in making this country. that being said, it was intended to be kept out of the law, not the parts about not killing, but other areas.like i do not believe that human genetic research and cloning should be hindered because some people are afraid of playing god. science as a whole should not be hindered because of religious
@aarontheman9196 Yeah, some of that is right, but no. The Foundation of this country was NOT the bible, it was the Greco-roman civilization style, which was preserved by Muslim controlled Spain, and re-discovered during the enlightenment, and were then later brought here during the time of the founding Fathers. SOME were religious yes, but the overwhelming majority were deists. Thomas paine did not respect Christianity the religion, he respected the people. He ridiculed the religion quite often.
@aarontheman9196 Also, once again, read the bible. God lays down how you are supposed to Kill people who don't believe in him like you do, and Jesus condemns an entire city to die because they found his sermons boring, as well as threatening to kill the children of women, and says that it's perfectly fine for brother to kill brother, and advocates that we chop off our hands and remove our own eyes. Tell me, how is that moral? Jesus, his teachings and the bible are rather violent and cruel.

The word (freedom) don't mean what it use to ask any VET. We are turning in to a communists country again. Its bull shit when you can get a $165 ticket for not having on a seat belt there SO many laws most are stupid laws that are taking away are freedom people just don't see its going on.I am a VET i did 2 tours in Iraq.First it was war on terror then it was about oil now its operation freedom ya somethings missing
bearpatillo 4 months ago in playlist bearpatillo's favorites

There is a reason so many people wish they were born here
vampywitchgirl 5 months ago
One correction... the men who died did not GIVE me rights. God gave me rights, they died defending my rights.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm -
They died in Iraq defending oil profits, they're dying in Afghanistan defending weapons-makers' profits. They're not defending your freedom, they're defending those who will take your freedom for a dollar.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - Not many of them died, and they died killing the enemies of individual liberty. Not many have died in Afghanistan, and they died killing the enemies of individual liberty.
While I oppose the nation building in either place (we should have used them as staging grounds for invading Iran), you've got your head twisted on sideways.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - you're clearly either incredibly stupid or just insane. The enemies of individual liberty are the Republican Party, your empty, scared twisted head is what they need to finish off their destruction of the American way. Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan are no threat to the USA whatsoever, and never have been. You are an easily-duped, frightened little coward, just the tool that fascists rely on.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - Ever hear of the Northern Alliance? They fought against the oppressive Taliban gov't in Afghanistan, which gave sanctuary to Al Qaeda.
We were flying a no-fly zone during the *armistice* to prevent genocides, and Iraq fired missiles at our warplanes. That's reason enough to stomp Iraq.
We should have conquered Iraq and Afghanistan, crushed Iran between, swung west and hammered Syria, and appointed American governor-generals to run them.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - you'e a fool, a liar and an uneducated dolt. You don't even understand plain English, and you have the intellect of a retarded mailbox if you still believe all the lies George Bush told to get more Americans killed than the 9/11 attacks did. No wonder you listen to crappy music by jingoistic idiots who couldn't get a hit without appealing to morons like you. And socialism? Talk to the rich about that, they're the ones getting it from the conservatives that have stolen your country.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - you are a hate-filled failure of a human being (to use the term loosely) without the intellectual capacity to think for yourself, so you resort to leftist dogma and ad hominem attacks instead of reasoned argument.
Conservatives haven't stolen the country, because they have preserved it as best they can under the century long relentless assault of Marxism.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - Conservatives have most certainly stolen the country, as they stole the '00 and '04 elections. Marxism is a silly, puerile buzzword used by idiots who don't know a thing about economics. You must really hate America and Americans to have such poison in you.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - no, they haven't. The 2000 and 2004 elections were won by progressive Republicans, not conservatives. Bush was never a conservative.
Marxism is just one of the many terms to describe those who want to control people and have no respect for the individual.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - the usual conservative hypocrisy: Bush is, was and always will be the very model of a conservative: greedy, selfish, stupid, nasty, sociopathic and treasonous, not to mention incompetent and easily manipulated by corporate powers. The perfect fascist, and the perfect Republican. I love how you hypocrites run away from your idols once they've proven how morally and intellectually bankrupt your fascist ideology is.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - no, he wasn't a conservative, he was a progressive. Same big-government nanny-state authoritarian mindset that the rest of the progressives have.
Prove that I even liked Bush, let alone had him as an "idol".
And conservatives CANNOT BE FASCISTS. Facists are on the LEFT, along with Nazis, communists and other socialists. Conservatives are on the RIGHT.
While I agree fascist ideology is bankrupt, it's Obama that's serving as example for how bankrupt it is.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - run away, run away, little loser. Bush was a die-hard conservative, an authoritarian Nazi, a little fascist mama's boy in a suit, like all conservatives. Liberals are the leaders of the world, liberal countries are the bulwark of individual freedom. Hitler was a conservative, as you know. Liberals move humanity forward, conservatives commit genocide. Bush was a textbook conservative, the GOP would never run a progressive. Fascism=conservatism, always has. Read some history, dipshit.
ronjazz1 5 months ago
@ronjazz1 - you're out of touch with reality. You can't be conservative and authoritarian. You can't be conservative and a National Socialist. Liberal countries include the likes of China and the Soviet Union, who've killed millions of individuals in the name of the collective.
Fascism = socialism. Read some history, dipshit.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - Hiram, you're in deep denial, and you're very stupid and ignorant. Fascism IS conservatism, writ large. China and the Soviet Union were not liberal countries, you moron, they were authoritarian, rightwing, fascist and conservative, which is why they turned communism into totalitarianism, their leaders were conservatives.

@Hiraghm Makes it hard to argue against anyone that calls the US imperialist when you say things like that.
KneeDeepInThought 5 months ago
@KneeDeepInThought - The periods of greatest prosperity in human history have been under empires. Also the greatest spread of knowledge and advancement of technology have occurred under empires.
"Imperialism" is a catch-phrase appropriated by Marxists to discourage successful nations from spreading their success.
The greatest failures of civilization, btw, have occurred under socialist systems.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - as usual, nor a fact in your post, just lies and fantasies. Right now, when it counts, the most successful countries in the world are socialist, which, by the way, is quite different from communist. And the USA was at its best when capitalism and socialism were both in the mix. Your opinions are those of a brainwashed, tool. Capitalism is proving to be poison on a world-wide scale. Greed and selfishness are the hallmarks of conservatives and barbarians, not fully-evolved humans.

@Hiraghm why do you have to be republican and a capitalist to be proud to be an american lol ?
the whole point of america is that it is strong through diversity ... you can be socialist and be proud to be an american .. its just people like u are so fcking dumb you dont know what socialism is - giving the low class hard working workers a share in the profits. not just some rich minority cock suckers - this is what trade unions are all about
to protect the rights of workers
Communist2012 5 months ago
@Communist2012 - because America is a republic, and capitalism is the best, most natural cultural system on the planet. And *communist* philosophy is diametrically opposed to the very idea of America.
A republic, a nation of laws, not men. Capitalism, individuals trading peacefully between themselves, each for his own benefit.
The whole point of America is NOT diversity. That is false dogma put forward by socialists.
Don't talk to me about trade unions; my great grandfather founded one.
Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Communist2012 - don't talke to me about "hard working workers", I'm a 5th generation master mason, who began working construction before he turned 12. "Union workers" and "hard workers" are almost exact opposites.
Trade unions are all about blackmailing the risk-taking producers into giving the parasites the fruits of their labor, creativity and risk.

Hiraghm 5 months ago
@Hiraghm - god doesn't exist, and the people who died in wars post-WW2 died for profits, not your freedoms, which you've happily given up for a false sense of security. Your real enemies are conservative Republicans. The USA was founded as a socialist, liberal republic, with no mention of god in the Constitution, and a denial of any religious basis for the government. Empires have failed time and again, quite spectacularly; all of them, in fact. The USA is failing too, because of imperial hubris

Kaishakunut 7 months ago
@aarontheman9196 Thomas Paine was not a Christian by a Long shot. He ridiculed the Christian Church numerous times, and skewed them quite fiercely in his book " The Age of Reason ". Paine was either an Atheist, like me, or a Deist, like I used to be.
"What is it the Bible teaches us? rapine, cruelty, and murder. What is it the Testament teaches us? -- to believe that the Almighty committed debauchery with a woman engaged to be married, and the belief of this debauchery is called faith " - T.P.

Kaishakunut 7 months ago
@aarontheman9196 I've read everything you've said, and nothing checks out. You seem to be another individual bought in by dis-information and quote mining that surrounded the founding fathers, which began in the mid-1800's as a means to use the Christian bible to justify slavery, and then reached a fever pitch during the red-scare of the 1950's, when " In God we trust " was put on our money, and " Under God " was added to the pledge of Allegiance.
Kaishakunut 7 months ago

"We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, APPEALING TO THE SUPREME JUDGE OF THE WORLD for the rectitude of our intentions . . . And for the support of this Declaration, with
aarontheman9196 7 months ago
@Kaishakunut 2 a firm reliance on the PROTECTION OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." there are several other examples in the declaration. god isnt mentioned in the constitution, however, it is ovious from reading it that many of the ideals come from the bible. they didnt mention god because they didnt want religion mandated by the government, and didnt want the people to feel that it was. however, none of them ever sought to do
aarontheman9196 7 months ago
@Kaishakunut 3 away with christianity as you probably would seem fit to do. it needs to be kept separate, but there is no doubt that most of the founding fathers were either deeply religious, or diests, like you said. however, they respected christianity as i do, and used priciples from the bible to create the founding documents. several of them in fact had the entire bible memorized. God is mentioned throughout thomas paine's "common sense", which was the most influencial piece of literature
aarontheman9196 7 months ago

Kaishakunut 7 months ago
@aarontheman9196 Also, once again, read the bible. God lays down how you are supposed to Kill people who don't believe in him like you do, and Jesus condemns an entire city to die because they found his sermons boring, as well as threatening to kill the children of women, and says that it's perfectly fine for brother to kill brother, and advocates that we chop off our hands and remove our own eyes. Tell me, how is that moral? Jesus, his teachings and the bible are rather violent and cruel.
