  • This is awful.

  • @ButtersMcFly I agree, it's not a good reading. A famous critic liked it though and featured it on his blog.

  • @ButtersMcFly I just made a fresh reading. Couldn't listen to that again.

  • Amen. Fuck yeah.

  • Chicago, my town, is a city of neighborhoods, and all of it shocking and wonderful. I would not live in another city. But the Chicago Sandburg describes is only a small part of what Chicago is. It is almost an outsider view it seems, because if you ask a Chicagoan what Chicago is you would get a different answer in Lakeview than you would in South Side. If you go to China Town it is a completely different Chicago as it is Old Town.

  • @chopin65 Hey there. Did you think about how he wrote this in 1916? Yeah, every city is different in every direction... but there was a time when that city was not what it is today, in every direction including the places that you may think are untouched by time...everything...is different.

  • @drfred1203 I understand it was a different city then.

  • Excellent.

  • I think you did a great job with this one, as did Sandburg!

  • Beautiful.
