@dahveed284 Panama uses the U.S. dollar.

Ordering things online I have to pay 70-100% import taxes plus shipping to get them into the country. Depends on what mood the import officer is in.

@KeithCindyPanama I see gringos around David fairly often. Some live here, others are passing through, some are shopping from Boquete. Boquete is "Gringolandia" a lot of grinos move there to retire.

@KeithCindyPanama I'm just renting for now. Would suggest you do the same. Rent for at least one year where you think you want to live. Experience everything first hand before you take the plunge.

@j25ack Don't have a GPS, I just get lost and ask for directions. I think Diesel is at $4.15/gallon right now. Gas is higher. That is a lot of money for the average joe here.
