Don't like that horns are mixed with whistles either. Love those haunting sounds. These Shay all traction units are one of my favorite steam engine. I do like the diesels too. Liked the shot of the what used to be termed as an "A" liner, which was the scene of the one being pulled or going backwards of the diesel unit. I like those as well. I'm favorited towards them also. Remember them from the 50's. But steam should be steam and this post is great for that. Excellent work for showing. Thanks.
Great video! I like the fact that you did not keep zooming in on just the running gear each time the locomotive passed by. It's great to get a view the locomotive asa whole.
The shot at 5:35 at the twin bridges has a funny story. That was the first pass I think and usually I'll fan a few light shovelfulls in to give the "hollywood" smoke. The coal changed over in the bin and I got waaaay more smoke that I expected. So we got yelled at on the radio and ran clear on the next pass. Great vid, hope you can go to Elkins in July with the Heisler!
