Why do food prices follow the price of fuel seriously? You know it might have something to do with the fact that food production requires energy in the form of fuel. If fuel prices rise say 26% or 30% then the cost to produce the food also increases. I mean what do people think they just hook up the old Mule or Ox still?
That's so funny! Republicans only care about spending money on defense!!!!! They make money off of it and they love having a big empire that we don't need!!!!!!!1
Love his blaming farms for the high price of corn, eggs, etc. The majority of eggs, corn, etc are supplied by big business owned farms. Not the hard working farmers of the past. Big Business killed the american farmers years ago. Not counting the majority of food that shipped in from foreign countries because it's cheaper. Why pay a hard working american a fair wage when you pay pedro in mexico for his food (which is cheaper and most of the time not up to standards.. Ecoli virus anyone).
Its funny Glen Beck didnt, have a problem with the Defense budget wich is uncessarily bloated and filled with black projects that we dont need Beck is a moron and compliciate food prices are doublng and hes claiming prices are rising 20 and 30 and 40 percent he obviously hasnt been to the market lately
Gas is going up because the dollar is going down. How long until everyone realizes the problem is the Federal Reserve? The average value of the dollar was over $8 before the Federal Reserve was put into place. After, it's been $2.50 and decreasing. In the first decade the Fed was put into place, the dollar dropped over half of its value, which had never happened before. It happened again in the 70s when the gold standard was killed by the Bretton Woods agreement.
No I get it as it seems to working quite well for the top 1% and if you email me I'll turn you on to a study which will refute your understanding. By the way I work in petrochemical industry and I bet I know more about it than you.
ObamaCitizen, the list of Nader worshipping anarcho-syndicalists you list in your tags reveal just how little understanding you have of the capitalist system.
High gas prices are a product of inflation and OPEC, the gas companies have nothing to do with it. If the government gouges prices against the market's natural discourse you will have gas lines like in the 70's. Glenn is a hack, but he's right about ethanol ruining food prices. Put down your Engels book and look at the REAL WORLD.

Funny, because I thought the price of milk and eggs went up as a result of the increasing cost of fuel needed to transport such goods

I spend $3.00/week on milk and $30.00-40/week on gas. If I needed 15 gallons of milk per week then I'd worry about it going up a few cents.
