They are expecting Max to expose wizards, while Alex and Justin actually did that in the recent episodes.

Also Justin expects to get family wizard, while Alex became one in the movie and Max is now closer into becoming a family wizard, since Alex and Justin have to start all over again.

The messed up in this episode. Because, future harper said that alex didn`t give her permission to write the books, and yet, young harper needed alex`s permission to write them? That means that they are either changing the future as it actually happened, or the producers messed up.
