  • damn thats cool

  • Looked real cool at the start.

  • I want bacon and walkies, now! D:<

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • The thing that makes it so creepy...is that is basically what they used in the movie....they didnt use any shitty CGI effects to try to make it more realistic because it was already freaky xD movies nowadays suck

  • man that shit is pretty fucking nasty looking! good job. my only complaint, or suggestion, is you should have had a recording of the "thing howl" during the kennel scene just to top it off! I mean that would have made me shit myself and run if i saw and heard that in person.

  • what the hell is that? that looks scary if I saw that I would have ran my ass off the boat

  • Well that's just simply horrifying. Excellent work. Now to make something similar myself and then wait for Halloween. Trick or treat hardcore edition.

  • That is freakin' sweet!

  • I like it

  • Dude you're amazing...subbed!!!

  • I love the Dog, but how did it get on an old paddle steamer? :?

  • God-Dammit Childs, Torch it!!!

  • It's not a dog. It's a mutant turkey. Happy Thanksgiving :(

  • poke it!

  • smile for the camera.....XD

  • that was a scary the thing dog mutant. how did u came up with this. keep the god work up:)

  • Cool!!

  • wow. That was very coooool

  • its weird but when movies had this much gore in them it didn't matter how bad the story was acted out. it seems as the cgi programmers got smarter the script-writers got less and less paper to redo ideas on! :-P

  • 1980's horror movies were pretty good

  • You did a fantastic job, I never see stuff this nicely done at horror attractions. The sound effects make it eerier!

  • I can honestly say if I was a diver exploring that ship I would probably be dead right about now.

  • I don't know whatever the hell's in there, but it's weird and pissed off, whatever it is!

  • Woww. Awesome job there!! I'd go to that attraction! =D

  • DAMN GREAT JOB!!!!

    "WATCH CLARK."-the doc

  • The Thing ... shudders.Very scary the first time I watched it. Not so bad now.

  • aw... that is completely awesome (and cute *no sarcasm cuz i'm into this kind of stuff) and you made that!?! I'd love to have that in my room <3

  • Thanks man. It was a throw together. They gave me creative freedom in an area of the USS Nightmare. I used:carpet padding layered over a chicken wire frame. Then I took a dirty old bed sheet and draped it over the of it.Then I used an 5 gal. bucket of Liquid Latex & coated the whole thing.(I did this outside in the back yard) Once the latex dried the fabric sticks to itself.I only sculpted, molded, and casted the head/puppets. Simple/generic cable pull that opened the many mouths of the creature

  • Amazing. Actually, I'm really tempted to make a mini one for myself just for kicks and for something cool to look at in my room. XD

  • Awesome, I'll bet even Rick Baker and Stan Winston would be impressed. R.I.P. Stan.

btw. John Carpenter is the man.

  • Thanks man, That movie freaked me out as a kid. Seems I embraced the things that weirded me out as a kid. Oh no,

about Stan Winston !! I actually didn't know until you just told me. I've been out of the scene for a while. I've been more into

more mecha anime in recent years. That's so sad about him. Dead at 62. I read he was working on a new Terminator movie. What a bummer. He'd been one of the inspirations that shaped me. The best special on him was on Movie Magic:Discovery Channel in the 90's.

  • @Gorgo where did you get the cable equipment?

  • @Django5198 ,It was simply bike hand brake cable. Not the actual type cable used in cable controlled creatures. I believe those are much thinner. I literally used a cable from an old 10 speed. I'm not sure if these companies are still around but search ( Burman in California ) and ( Monster Makers in Ohio ). They were big FX suppliers back when I was into FX stuff in the late 90's. I hope that helped.

  • @GothDoberman not me. not in my room

  • thats freaked up!

  • thats some fucked up shit right there! Bravo Gorgo! Top knotch stuff. Reminded me of the movie and that scared the living shit outta me! Excellent! you definetly have a future in this.

  • ill put that up outside my house next year after i run out of candy.Think it will finally make those damn kid leave me alone

  • my god thats amazing! so gross and awesome

  • Holy Fuck. Pretty scary artwork at the end there!

  • Redes of a Vbad Dragon'The Thing'Dog

    Ween Dragon "The Thing" Dog.............

The Thing... And The Dragons = The Thing

    A Alien

  • Looks like its more of a

    Demented Dragon 'the thing'

instead of a Dog'the thing' to me....

    Meh.

  • man.......that's fucking scary

  • thanks...it was fun freaking people out with that.

  • man.......that's fucking scary

  • Wow, creepy... =o

  • Wow, creepy... =o

  • nice job dude....incredible u made a horrific creature with low-budjet >:)

  • Yow...down, boy!

  • fucking hell...thats good stuff...

  • Thanks for commenting on this weeks Rundown show.

  • Great fuckin' job, Gorgo! Kudos to you for getting a Halloween attraction right! That's how you do it, with weird, disgusting creatures. Real nightmare fuel for the kids! To hell with knife welding idiots, mutated creatures and afterbirth freaks is were it's at! The only element that's missing? A sexy, bikini clad chick tied up in the corner screaming her brains out as that thing lunges for her! That'd keep the kiddies up for days!

  • Thanks, What made it real freaky to people was the room was lit up with only a strobe light. The camera wouldn't stay focused so I had to film it with this lighting. It did have a mouth

on it's front under the big black eyeball. Sometimes when we'd go on break we'd crawl through the front and act like we were being eaten by it. Alot of fun to puppet!!

  • Oh I bet it was alot of fun, Gorgo! And from just the way it was filmed for this You Tube spot, it kindda gives me the creeps! You did very well working with what you had! I'd love to be involved in a project like that!

  • The first USS Nightmare did sink. USS Nightmare 2 is docked in Newport, KY right now. It's a bigger boat, and run by a small riverboat company every October. There may be a USS Nightmare 3 soon.

  • We could really use a USS NIghtmare around here in Stuart, FL. And stuff it full of those freaky H.P. Lovecraft creatures! In fact, wouldn't a Chuthlu or Dagon themed Halloween attraction be a blast?

  • that was cool, check out my haunted attraction

  • What attraction was this?

  • Holy crap dude, that is so many kinds of awesome it needs a medal or something.

  • That is sick... I love it! Are you available for hire?

  • Sure, What do you have going on ?

  • lol looks kute lol

  • man i wish my animals looked liked that it would be AWSOME

  • eurk

  • Nice work dude. Oh and you've gotta email me the 'V' soundtrack PLEASE! breakice89 'at' hotmail. If you have the time, check out my movie on youtube...

  • Sorry, I don't have the "V" soundtrack. I sampled it from the show's ending credits. Thanks for the nice comment !

  • Ther was no V soundtrack album

  • Dude...

The most scarry part of the movie - the dogs.

    Wholey cow you did it!

We think the same, if I ever wanted to do a skit it would be THE THING the dogs.

    Thumbs up!

  • Man,i could really use this thing because i'm going to post a thing video on youtube soon.

  • how did you make it

  • that is so cool

  • Thanks, oh yeah and the drool was Nicolodian Gooze...

  • Frikin sweet man

  • Sweet work man......... what material do u use like for the eyes and the skin... please let me know i run a haunted house and want to know how to make stuff look real like that and again.. sweet work.....

  • Carpet pading foam with a bed sheet coated with liquid latex(the main body)Also used a chicken wire sub-structure to maintain shape.I had a 5 gallon bucket of latex goibg bad ...the eyes are just painted black half spheres coated with something called permawet.

(you can get that from Monster Makers)
