hey can someone help me here im from australia and cant follow champ cars as much as id like to, but is the irl and champ cars all one now? if that be the case thats blows :(
Both entities (IRL and CCWS) merged in February when Kevin Kalkhoven agreed to cease the Champ Car World Series and the CCWS teams (if they chose to) defected to the IRL. As a result, instead of two series with 16-20 cars each, we saw a series that had no less than 24 cars in each race (usually 26 or more!). Just in time, too; the US economy is seeing a bit of trouble.
I was a Champ Car fan at the time, but I must admit that though the series was interesting, unity was essential.
shut up indy fan just because FTG won this battle doesnt mean u have to just post everywhere about how IRL is better. which it isnt...
Going in a Circle 200-300 times doesnt show 0.000000001 of the skill it takes to drive a Champcar in the tight street courses CCWS raced at...
They have left a Legacy over the years and other than the Indy 500, what has IRL done? have a driver in the Swimsuit edition of Sports Illistrated and thats about it... :P
yes. the commentator is Jeremy Shaw who has been doing the commentating all the way back to the '90's.
James Hinchliffe is the technical analysis who currently races in the Toyota Atlantic series on the Sierra Sierra team....hopefully Hinch moves up to Champ Car next year!! we need another Canadian open wheel phenom
What's your opinion of Robert Wickens, Canada's current A1GP driver? This year he will compete full time in the World Series by Renault, and recently won a round of A1GP after several strong performances. Oh yeah, he also won a CC Atlantic race at Portland and was 3rd in points behind Matos and Perera.
which soilwork song is this?

Cranking the Sirens by Soilwork i believe.
good video, but keep the commentary or ditch it for the music. both together sounds like a mess imo.

I didn't know the IRL had Le Mans, the greatest Spectacle in Racing.
