Ahahaha, this really made me laugh. I remember watching this with my friends, and they had this huge argument about whether Ozzy was "that way" or not. And then I noticed that folder, so they had to stop and rewind, and voíla! Proof!
@DairiiMon Well in a movie where everyone else is dressed in a dark costume, someone had to use light colors. Not his fault he picked one of the more... effeminate colors.
he is gay, in watchmen's intro for example he is with the drag queens and guys dessed up as superheroes or something and later when they are celebrating Silk Spectre's retirement he is caressing some other guy's face in the table.
Adrian's role model is Alexander The Great. Maybe Moore used this as a hint of his sexuality. After all, Adrian was inspired by him, perhaps because they had a lot of things in common. Like being bisexual. Though, i do believe that he probably likes men more than women.
FYI, there's a scene at the starting credit, shows that Adrian hang-out at the gay bar or pub... and i think Zack Snyder put this character as a male homosexual.
really? i remember from the comic that Rorschach said "possibly homosexual?", but not confirmed homosexual, or maybe the purple he used was actually a symbol of it~
That seriously, was like, my favorite part of the movie. Because my friend always likes flamboyant, sexually ambigious characters, and he always insists that he doesn't. Well, a few minutes before this, he leaned over and said, "Hey, I really like that Ozymandias guy." And then, boom. BOYS. Fucking perfect.
Adrian is sexually ambiguous. All the Watchmen characters are anthropomorphic concepts of comic book characters and their clichés. Adrian is the liberal, while Rorschach is the conservative one.
Adrian obviously does not care about his lover's sex. He's bisexual.
Yeah, it was. I noticed it first when I saw it in the theater, but I thought I was wrong. My brother checks out the DVD some months later and sure enough, there it is.
lol absolutely halarious I guess Rorshack was right. the ending to the movie/novel did upset me though i do wish Rorshack kicked his ass on the end (P:S has nothing to do with the fact that he's gay its more because ozymandis is portrayed a s a douche in the story.
Yeah man, that scene where ozy raped rorschach AND nite owl was some bullshit.....i understand that he's knows alot of diff. martial arts, but damn, that was brutal

y r so many of the watchmen characters GAY??? u hav silhouette, hooded justice, captain metropolis, and now OZYMANDIAS? wtf? i just noticed the boys thing on the computer yesterday and wanted to see if anyone else noticed lol shits fucked up
LOL, no, that was Studio 54. Big names used to hang out there, which is why you see Ozy going up and greeting Mick Jagger, etc., outside the nightclub in the beginning of the movie.
I remember seeing that in theaters ( I am a Watchmen fan) and noticed the file called boys on the computer I loled and people looked at me like why are you laughing I love opening night
The maker of the clip should have stopped the video before the amount of that white stuff looks too apparently foam. Maybe stopping it long enough for us to see what's coming out is white, and then stop. Then cut to Ozymandias gloating. That would be even more convincing.
God, I noticed this in the movie and I cracked the fuck up. It's hard to even notice. I love the way you edited this. "Possibly homosexual. Must investigate further."
Anyhow, people, the entire point of Watchmen is that no one is the hero, at least not in a clearly defined way,and leaves it up to you really. And therein lies the genius.
Rorschach also doesn't care if lots of people are killed when it's needed to establish peace. He supports the decision of the US to drop the nukes on Japan in WWII.
Rorschach didn't agree with the nukes being dropped...Walter did...he wrote that as a boy, before he changed. Before he became "Rorschach pretending to be Kovacs."
Rorschach believed that justice has to be served, even at the cost of world peace. I guess he asked Manhattan to kill him as his last compromise. He knew his persistence regardless of the fate of the world was wrong, but he couldn't live with making the decision to play along with Veidt and not letting justice be served. Very tragic ending, the only occasion where the seemingly cold and emotionless Rorschach showed any emotion, compromising by dying.
Yeah, that was something I liked about the movie. I've never read the Watchmen comics so I had no idea what was going to happen. It seemed to be setting up for a classic "villain tells his evil plan to heroes then gets foiled" ending, so it really surprised me when the guy's evil plan actually worked, and it actually had some good consequences. The movie's different, like it or not you have to admit that. The antagonist was really more heroic than the rest of the characters. Good movie.
That's so true. Usually we imagine the villain's "master stroke" to be planned after it was told to our heroes. Instead, the villain did it, thirty-five minutes ago.
World peace that will start dissintigrating as soon as Rorschach's diary is published.
Ozymandias is the smiley face, and Rorschach is the blood stain on the smiley face. Ozymandias wants to build a perfect world, while Rorschach is that annoying stain that reminds everyone that it ain't so.

Like others said, that's one of the points of the novel and movie. "Bad" and "good" are not clearly defined things in a world with shades of gray. All up to the reader, really. ;)
