There was a clear reason for police action (not "no reason"): Running a stop sign, fleeing and eluding, physically resisting arrest. This resulted in a take down and several taserings. The death was an accident. But if the subject pulled over when he was supposed to he would have not been thrown on the ground. If the subject did not fight with the officers he would have not been tased or injured his head. The subjects actions caused the officers' reactions.
The gas station was the first available place to pull off the road from the stop sign he is supposed to have run, which you would know if you had driven the road. Witnesses don't report the victim as having resisted. There is no evidence that potentially lethal force was warranted.

At no point was Allen a threat to the cops nor could any reasonable person believe he was a threat. How can you say they had a reason?

There was a clear reason for police action (not "no reason"): Running a stop sign, fleeing and eluding, physically resisting arrest. This resulted in a take down and several taserings. The death was an accident. But if the subject pulled over when he was supposed to he would have not been thrown on the ground. If the subject did not fight with the officers he would have not been tased or injured his head. The subjects actions caused the officers' reactions.

The gas station was the first available place to pull off the road from the stop sign he is supposed to have run, which you would know if you had driven the road. Witnesses don't report the victim as having resisted. There is no evidence that potentially lethal force was warranted.

Suing the department is not nearly adequate. This community -- and every community in America -- must take away all power from such reckless bullies. Every person connected with that department should be fired. Citizen patrols would be a far better, safer option than such aggressive killers armed with weapons they love to use.

What if your daughter late at night is fearful of stopping on an old unlit roadway..... Do you want to stumble upon her dead body laying in the fucking street?

if u did what u did comply with the sheriffs he was nbot comploying so the took lethal force and fought with them so he got tazered and he kept fighting he was tazered 3 time cause he was fighting maybe he was a good guy i cant deny that but he fought with them instead of complying he died on accident the sheriffs are really relaxed untill they have to do there job all this is bs and they need to stop this and go back i understand that his parents care and no one should go through it but stop

The sheriff department is stupid as fuck because they're screwing with the money from tourism. No one is interested in going to a town where the sheriff is dishonest and criminal. if there's no tourism, they'll be no money . . . no money, no salaries for the sheriff.

As this type of action continues by police, they are going to be TARGETS. Anything with a "Sheriff" or "Police" id will be on Open Season.
The police must be brought back into Service to the Public instead of the Terrorists they are.

This was supposed to have been fixed, by order of the Supreme Court: Tennessee v. Garner (1985) and Graham v. Connor (1989). And of course the law was completely ignored at Waco and Ruby Ridge just a few years later. Before that there was Kent State, and don't forget Wounded Knee in '75 (but that was only Indians, so nobody cared.) Leonard Peltier is still in jail for a crime he didn't commit.

The taser is a tool, that if not available the service weapon would be the natural choice. Are these situations serious enough for their service weapon? If not they should never have used their taser. It is a simple enough policy decision,,, but give a sadist a torture device and they will use it. It seems the solution to the terrorizing sheriff dept is to get rid of them,,, the only way they will accept, in a coffin.

NJ is now testing their Police for steroids.The US has been feminized through BPA in baby bottles feminizing phtalates in their teething rings,they eat soy estrogen in everything. (See the CBC's The Disappearing Male on google video).The police need to act like men so they take steroids.You have all been castrated with petro chemical synthetic estrogens in food and packaging.Test them for psycho steroids every time this happens and it will stop.

The bad part about suing the sheriff's department INSTEAD of the individuals who were responsible......including the sheriff, for protecting this crime, is that tax funds will be used to pay any judgement. That's what happened in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the Tim Masters case. The whole inJustice department is saturated with corruption, pedophilia, false arrests with no cause, no due process!!!, and lies upon lies upon lies....

Once the government takes a dollar from a tax payer, it is gone, so long, adios, pffft. Starve the beast. Sue the cops. Sue the police department. And for crying out loud, get a DA and a grand jury that will PROSECUTE the criminals in costumes.

MY IDEA: If a cop pulls you over, and starts to get shitty with you, tell the cop, "Just so you know, officer, this entire encounter is going out live on the internet", Hopefully that will get him/her to back off.

So many cops are on power trips. They think that their uniform gives them the authority to do anything the want to do. What happened here was murder and these cops should be prosecuted and sent to jail. America is becoming a police state and we need to demand that cops obey the law themselves or go to jail. I'm 71, old enough to remember when if you were white and polite in the USA, the cops wouldn't physically assault you for no reason. Police brutality happened to people of color all the time, but being white and polite meant being privileged. Now that this is no longer the case, there may be a possibility of more US citizens joining the global struggle for justice. I certainly hope so. No justice, no peace!
