  • Holy fuck that was epic

  • damn they should remake this videogame for xbox and playstation and i would definetely get it

  • CANNOT press the like button hard enough!

  • You know, Capcom looked into the fan project, The Phoenix Wright Musical. These guys need to get Capcom's attention. Unlike other companies, Capcom really listens to their fans.

  • I'm really fascinated with this band. I'm glad that I learned about them.

  • My Protomen journey started out yesterday with finding a cover of a Robert Tepper song. Now I'm following this album, and... I feel what might be tears right now.

  • fucking awesome

  • Intense awesomeness.

  • that story's finnished, that story's ended

and understand there's nothing more that you can do

I will not risk losing you

    ----------------------------

its actually theres nothing more we can do

  • The Protomen needs to make a rock opera. The music is already written, after all.

  • DUUUUUUUUUUH!

What I wouldn't do to see this on Broadway someday.

  • actually, the protomen's music is classified as a rock opera already.

  • @eviljoel Sure. it's called "The Protomen", with part two being "The Father of Death". Part three is on it's way. ;)

  • @Slaanash I meant as an actual on-stage show, with costumes and pyrotechnics and so on.

  • @Slaanash WHEN IS IT COMING

  • their album only takes partial truths from megaman. but the way the protomen portray megaman in their music is so amazing. Just to hear music based off of megaman, even with an altered storyline [that is still badass nonetheless], it just gets me giddy.

  • Protomna was likely found by wily on the brink of death likely convinced him to join him by telling him how hopeless humanity is without brave men to lead them.

  • First things first your starting to far ahead. Protoman was made to fight but for people who wouldnt fight for themselves. Why would you fight for someone who wouldnt try to defend themselves?

  • That's something that still confuses me a bit. Do the people in this story even have the ability to fight? Assuming they don't have John Connor or any guns, how could they? It's hard to fist-fight a robot.

  • Are there none left among men who value courage above life?

  • Just because they choose willfully not to stick up for themselves does not mean that their punishment is right or just, basically.

Like if you regularly beat someone and told him/her that they deserved it because they didn't fight back.

  • Proto does get corrupted he is sick of the people cause they see him dying and they do nothing and no lie I'm pretty sure Protoman can beat the shit outta Wiley and his army any day but i will let it slide with this album because its amazing lol

  • wtf, thats not the actual story in megaman at all! all you did was attack one of their songs with the story of their first song.... have you even played the megaman games... the originals that is :/

  • ohhh my bad i was talking about the album lol sorry

  • in response to "re-programmed"...I think part of the tragedy is that Proto-man willingly changed sides, after being so disgusted with the people whom he tried to help...

  • ...they need to insert hte Flute that always came in when Protoman entered.

  • Its somewhat of a dark side to Mega Man. How Proto Man was the first but he was doomed to obscurity and death. He is the one that died. Dr. Light does not wish for Mega Man to try the fight the endless evil and perhaps end up with the same fatal fate.

Its not entirely the same, because Proto never died, but in this version, he did.

  • Right on about the darker side to the story, but Protoman didn't actually die in this version either, Dr. Light believed Protoman died when he disappeared, and he nearly did, but Dr. Wiley found him on the brink of death and repaired/reprogrammed him. Though, I think maybe the song's more about the ideal that died when Protoman failed, and was corrupted. If you listen to the entire album, Protoman is very-much alive! The climax is the confrontation between Megaman and Protoman, it's fuckin epic!

  • Proto does get corrupted he is sick of the people cause they see him dying and they do nothing and no lie I'm pretty sure Protoman can beat the shit outta Wiley and his army any day but i will let it slide with this album because its amazing lol

  • The song was made for a flash animation on Newgrounds, it makes more sense if you see that.

  • lol No, they just made a flash using this song.

  • Ahhh, I thought the same people who made the song "The Protomen" made the flash, heh my bad, thanks for correcting me

  • the wistle ,man , brings back so many memories of destroying countless robots

  • This song really reminds of speed racer and how the dad told speed what happen to his brother and how he tries to tell speed not to race that same race that his brother died in..

  • see the one on newgrounds its a music video with megaman in it and dr light telling the story its really good

  • that's what the true story that this song is telling. the person who made it was quite skilled in spirte

  • i need to find an mp3 for this song, anyone help me?

  • YOU CAN NOT WIN!

  • packed with awesome

  • Thanks to this song, I can't help but picture Dr. Light in a cowboy hat.

    Playing an electric guitar :D

  • too true

  • As portrayed by Johnny Cash

  • There was another, who came before you...he was a hero and your brother and my son...he fought the darkness and the darkness won....

  • @Guard4Product why repeat whats in the song

  • for if you leave now, you will be fighting,

for a people that refuse to comprehend

they have chosen their own end

  • He's talking about the rejected Megaman boss ChistianMan.

  • But okay, actual post (lots of posts, I know): This is definetly my favorite Protomen song, that one line, "And I'll keep grieving for the son I sent to death" gets me every time :'(

  • cont. because of character limit. It could be anything, what's your idea? Pm me with your idea if you want to tell me yours :)

  • Wait... please disregard the last post, I just saw "Breaking out" right after :| ...

  • Breaking Out is likely their best song so far, IMO

  • Wow, this song blew me away, it's definetly my favorite song. The main reason is that the story becomes extremely interesting if this is officialy part of the series. Because in the song, Wily's saying to Megaman that he won't let him go and fight the robot masters, and yet he (obviously) fights them in Megaman. Why? The possibilities are endless; Dr. Wily could have completely taken over and made a germany from WWII because of the attack from Protoman, for one idea (and the one I go by)con.

  • Let me correct you a bit, first off, the speaker here is Dr. Light, speaking to his "son" Rockman/Megaman. He sees himself as the father of death, and as he saids pretty clearly, he doesn't want another son to die, and tires to prevent his youngest son from pursuing revenge for the death of Protoman.

  • i agree

some people just dont know what to think so they assume that this is Rockman/Megaman talking

  • Comment removed

  • Let me apologize, this was the first song from them I heard 3 months ago, and everything in that post is me assuming things XD

And btw, I meant to say Light, and not Wily

  • @binderfind

It's actually part of the story that Light never wanted Megaman to end up fighting. At least that's made explicit in Megaman X, and I think some of the additional materials surrounding the original games say that is the case there too.

  • Favorite Song out of all of them.

  • So good...

  • Fucking amazing!!!
