  • really? wow we're talking about Mandela correct? What kind of hateful individual are you, disrespecting Mandela with such words?

  • @abel120606 This idiot Mandela was NOT sent to prison for political dissent, he was sent to prison because he planned the Church Street Massacre terrorist bomb attack on civilians. He was a Communist, a Murderer and a Terrorist. ANC insiders have boasted how he used to be driven from his mansion to a poor house in order to give interviews to the Western Liberal press. Do you think his wife ordered the burning of opponents without his knowledge? He is scum.

  • A great enemy of mankind and nature.

  • So why isn't South Africa doing annything about the problems in islamic country's and why are they ignoring it all.........

  • hello. ahhma nelson mandela, and this... are alcopops

he also tested the first prototype of the buttplugg

    he is a true inspiration

  • did the concert and the summit ever amount to anything? It's been years..

  • Learn about the Venus Project to learn about how we can stop poverty and many more problems.

  • AFRICA HAS MOST OF THE WORLDS RESOURCES IN FACT IT IS THE MOST RICHEST IN TERMS OF RESOURCES ON THIS PLANET AND YET PEOPLE DIE OF HUNGER HERE MORE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE AND WE ARE IN DEBT MORE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE. SO WHAT DO WE NEED AID FOR AND WHO DO WE OWE MONEY TO? ITS SIMPLE WHEN YOU ARE IN DEBT IN YOU ARE IN SERVITUDE AFRICA OWES MONEY TO THE BANKS AND THE CREDIT CARD IS MAXED OUT SO WHAT HAPPENS BIG CORPORATIONS TAKE CONTROL OF OUR RESOURCES AND GIVE US AID AS A GESTURE OF KINDNESS..WAKE UP

  • MANDELA IS A MAN WHO HAPPENS TO BE A POLITICIAN, ALL POLITICIANS ARE CORRUPT, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE HAVE NOTS IN SOUTH AFRICA DO THEY HAVE UNDER THE NEW POLITICIAN. ALL POLITICIANS DO IS KEEP THE ESTABLISHMENT IN PLACE NOTHING CHANGES, OBAMA IS A GOOD EXAMPLE POLITICIANS ANSWER TO BIG CORPORATIONS WHO RUN THE ECONOMY SO DONT PAY HOMAGE TO A MAN WHO ESSENTIALLY SOLD HIS PEOPLE OUT. THIS IS NOT A BLACK OR WHITE ISSUE ITS A CLASS ISSUE SO PLEASE WAKE UP AND START BEING INQUISITIVE.

  • Thanks to Mandela, South Africa remained one nation, no other South African politician could have done it!

  • @amasonga You are an ignorrant cunt.

  • WE HEAR YOU Nelson Mandela and poverty is unnatural, the universe is infinitely beautiful and so should we be~xo

  • Nelson Mandela is a racist who support killing of whites.

Search "Mandela sings about killing whites" - found out the truth about your so called "hero". He's nothing less then a racist and a thug that supports murder of white people.

  • @DTRampage your nothing but a racist that disagrees with the fact that this man stopped the suffering of MILLIONS of black south africans by spending over three decades in jail and fighting for the right of his people.

Stop promoting lies and YOU should do some legitimate reasearch about Mandela and find out what kind of person he is...not through the internet but through books, cuz im sure that the bullshit you found is through the internet.

  • good video and a very good goal...long live Nelson Mandela :)

  • nelson mandela is overrated, they country still a shit hole.

  • @spacehomo -- That has NOTHING to do with Nelson Mandela. He is AMAZING. PERIOD. Your comment is fucking retarded.

  • @spacehomo You overated! You're the shit-hole!

  • unfortunately poverty is something needed 4 society now. It keeps prices down (every1 has money => demand goes up => rich are richer and every1 else tanks,) gets people to do cheap labor (sadly, we cant all be CEO), and follows human nature (which relies on greed).

  • Im stating these things b/c people should kno how poverty is mora complex and delicate problem than at a glance & why governments try to keep it. We should def begin preparing to tackle it now, but we cant expect big results until tech and a shit load of consistent sacrifice.

  • we must start with ourselves, then with the people next to us, then with the world. We should not look the other way or hesitate.

  • White liberals in the west will probably donate a couple of dollars to a charity after watching this and will feel a warm fuzzy feeling for a couple of minutes before going back to their comfy 1st world lifestyle watching their latest blu ray movie on their 40inch flat screen tv in their 4 bedroom detached house while munching some Ferrero Rocher and texting for their friend to come over on their $700 dollar iphone 4. You make me sick :)

  • Oh my god, it's Morgan Freeman!

  • @WaNNaPLaYiTLouD He said "Leaders", although, if you are thinking the word ni-rs it sounds that way.

  • @AziraphaleDB ahh ok thx :)

  • great man i want to meet him one day

  • Nelson Mandela is a great man

  • Poverty is not natural it is man-made and can be overcome

    -Nelson <3

  • Actually the human history is full of repeated crises, violent behaviors, wars and discriminations of all kind. Now, after running on species extinctions we may go straight to our own annihilation in the name of an imaginary better life. The solution? Teaching LOVE & COMPASSION.

Franck Renand, President, LOOK PACIFIC. (see on facebook).

  • To say that poverty is "not natural" is a false premise. Left to our own devices, in any economic model there will be "winners" and "losers". Many factors make this so. Don't despair. We can, as a civilized people correct the poverty problem by building safety nets into our system to prevent the impoverished from suffering any more than is necessary. 1. A right to nutritious food. 2. A right to clean water. 3. A right to basic medical care and medicines. 4. A democratic voice in government.

  • continued- We do not have to become "Socialists" or "Communists" to agree as a people that human beings should have basic rights. These rights can be maintained within our capitalist framework IF we wrestle control from the Corporations that control our government. Capitalism is the "Goose that lays Golden Eggs". We don't want to kill that Goose or we lose the tax base, nor stifle freedom to gather wealth.

  • action not words

  • published in 2006... 4 years ago. i know fixing it will take time, but i don't feel like we're doing enough, at least not in these 4 years. i would like to encourage people to visit Kiva dot org to LEND money people in need. if you don't have the time or patience to keep maintenance over the loans, you gift kiva credit to someone who does.

  • My sister had written some of Nelson Mandela's writing on her wall while living as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years, she passed away in Mali during an accident that took place at work while trying to help malians live a better life.

  • i wish someone would explain to me Just how is Mandela alive..i know im not the onlyone who witness atleast two weeks of his death in the 1980's of him being killed in jail by his own people.they found him guilty of Genocide against his own people by inecting them with HIV/aids virus..Then in the 1090's he is released from prison ? and alive ? how the hell would that happen ? Even when George Bush was asked about Mandela,he said"what .The mandelas are all dead.Bush remembered,i remember do you ?

  • African leaders are to blame for poverty in Africa.

  • You killed all the people who knew how to farm dumbass...your people will be in poverty forever.

  • @KingsorPawn You killed many Blacks and you want Apartheid to continue, you racist cunt. Mandela has never killed any farmer. Blame it on the current ANC government.

  • @bnbalenda I like how you put words in my mouth...can you read?? Mandella was the one who split up the farm land of South Africa that the blacks stole. South Africa can't even feed itself and during apartheid it was the bread basket of Africa. I'm not saying Apartheid was "good." I am just NOT drinking the Mandela cool-aid...that everyone else is.

  • okay im not dissin mandela. believe me he is the last i would diss. but it sounds like he says niggers at about 1:24

  • @5ballsinyourmouth he says leaders, not niggers lol

  • @adfit75 leader, niggers? That's an oximoron!

  • @5ballsinyourmouth Well he knows who he is talking too. He's mates that do and think like him.

  • most of those countries who suffers from hunger are exporting food..

  • All crap coming from a marsixt/leninest organizer like our own wonderful president. What the hell does Nelson know about economics, managing any organization. He has said NOTHING construtive. He doesn't know what to do! South Africa's poverty has soared since he came in with his revolution of the workers. He is a phony; he couldn't even control his criminal wife, what will he do with the criminals surrounding him in government?

  • "Poverty is not natural, it is man-made." That's true. I love Nelson Mandela, he's a great inspiration to us all... He's a bearer of light, a rare human being to find. I'm grateful for human beings such as Nelson Mandela.

  • @HonorGuard117 If you stop blowing smoke up his arse, I will send him to you. You could have this racist cunt all to yourself. Then he is a liar too. Promised his people things he knew he could never give them!

  • @HonorGuard117 It's man made by lazy people who want food stamps and welfare from the government.

  • @HonorGuard117 Mandela is a hero.

  • People are always willing to donate. Yet it was reported that the money from USA Africa was shared between military for the rebels&goverment only a 1/4 was actually given to the people. those in romote areas got nothing. Same with Live aid cash. Bono/Geldof said they knew nothing about it. Makes you if they dont give a fuck where your moneys going as long as they get a pat on the back.

  • Hommage a Nelson Mandela.

  • Education is the key to solving worldwide poverty. Even in the remotest, most poverty stricken villages if the people were educated and given appropriate training they could at least gain self sufficiency in food and medicine. That said we must FIRST feed and supply medicine to the people who need immediate and emergency help NOW. I'm an old Security Guard who lives alone in a small apartment. I send at least $200 a month to well researched & worthy charities. Let's all do something!

  • @randy109 "The fool and his money are soon parted."

  • @randy109 Education is the key. I agree.

  • This underhand, two faced TERRORIST, shops in BEVERLY HILLS, and buys 50000 ZAR coats for himself, and he's whining on about the black ppl in SA living in poverty???? Hah! what an underhand cunt!

He should have sentenced to death for the deaths of innocent ppl! This guy, is the most clever guy in the world!

He makes world leaders believe he is a peaceful man, when he doesn nothing but encourage the blacks to kill the whites!!!

    Mandela is a FAKE!

  • @griffonsa

Yeah as transparent as grannies undies.

  • Thank God he dumped Winnie. She was nuts.

  • Proverty is a problem that sublies of a much wrose problem: the money as we conceive it. It is responsible of proverty, pollution, drug traffiking, corruption and so much suffering. I have in my account some solutions (to who is interested it). Politicans do not show the true problems and i am scared for what could be happening really. If you speak spanish, you can understand this.

  • A train station bombing by the MK? What year was this and where was the bombing?

  • he also ignores that the rest of sub-sahara is much worse off than apartheid south africa; he is lucky he was in prison in south africa - in the rest of the continent he would have died long before 27 yrs were over! blacks helped the britis inthe ANGLOboerWAR to rape white women in girls; burn farms/homes/food/churches/animals; whipped disabled & sick people onto concentration camps; when britis starved 35% of kids, black guards helped prevent moms to visit graves... also see ANC- communist link

  • They are making such a big deal out of this guy here in the USA... his anniversary and such. I don't like him and I think you're right about him.

  • What is your issue

he created a just and equal south africa

he got people balck and white to come together

    he is truly magnificent

  • Mandela distanced himself from the violence toward the end, as well as his wife, but how can you deny the methods that they used to gain ground? Being tire burned is a horrendous way to die and we're talking about women and children here too... other black people.

  • @momandiswa your a right joker you know that? he's promises he made during his inauguration never became reality. south africa is now more divided than apartheid years. black and white did not come together whites fear for their lives of blacks. the problem is you wont allow yourself to see the truth. if you know the truth the truth will set you free.

  • @springbokbullietjie? We should Teach the whites how to read & write in Zulu, Xhosa, Ovambo, Ndebele, Shona, Umbundu and Khoisan languages so that we can understand each other very well. sol2soul77 shut up, we don`t really need your advice because Africa is not your Kingdom!

  • @53Africa Africa isn't your kingdom either- that's the problem there's no unity. It's not about white and black now its about politics and wealth, that's whats driving Africans apart.

  • @hrothgarable? Your ass dont want us to unite but the economic blocs of AU, EAC int, NEPAD, SADC int, COMESA, ECOWAS and SACU is already making our unification but whites still dont know this or they dont wanna know? God bless Africa!

  • Comment removed

  • @hrothgarable? Listen to 2-me Black Boars having been treated unfairly, you now want to get white then goodbye with your criticism. Africa has 53 States & you should know that there is much more progress but u dont know because u look at Africa with eyes of the western Newspapers and Television.

  • @53Africa I'm not denying there's been progress but I'm saying there could be more but corruption is holding it back- its a simple truth reported in ALL newspapers and television except those run by the corrupt states who pretend to be democracies. I was raised and educated in the UK because my parents were activists who had to live in exile- does this make me white in your eyes? don't forget western nations supported us in our struggle. they could've done more but there were many that helped us

  • @53Africa I can tell you have much resentment for the west and that's not unjustified but you need to think about this- firstly I'm not a racist white as you assume, I'm also black. Secondly all over Africa I see the hypocrisy of leaders who preach unity and freedom and equality while they rob the people and live in luxury. Too many only seek power to benefit themselves and they tell lies to get there. Mandela was a true hero because he really did it for the people. We need many more like him.

  • @hrothgarable? I have been to London and I know that the miseducation of Black People is that u dont learn about yourself. The will teach you how they kill the Zulus but they wont teach you how the Zulus killed them. Find this book on Amazon: The HOT ``cold war``, The USSR in Southern Africa by Vladimir Shubin and learn.

  • @53Africa I have been aware of that for a long time- every people will only teach their side of the story, I have been brought up with both sides

  • @riebeekkasteel? The British Empire killed most of the Boars in that particular AngloBoar war while the African people gave them Shelter to hide when running away from the British u forget? We gave the starving Afrikaners/Boars real African food (Kos), to maintain the war but u guys lost in the end.

  • You are a retard.

  • asteck---

You ignorant fuck, you think you know South Africa don't you?? Just like I said, search it and stop ASSUMING what you say!!!!!!

  • STOP FAMINE & POVERTY New Track/Video by FEMALE RAPPER called "Changez", please take time to watch it, its the making of the track , thanks for your time x

  • Mandela said the situation in current israeli occupied Palestine is worst than the days of Apartide in SA. This great man was then hurled abuse by the sick zionist and pro israelis around the world by email and calls to his house.

Mandela is a man of truth.

  • true poverty is man made

  • E.N.D P.O.V.E.R.T.Y.

  • Mandela was a member of a terrorist organization called MK. After years of trying non-violent resistance the ANC formed MK to carry out a guerrilla war against the government. While Mandela was involved with MK they never directly target civilians and instead bombed government facilities. What this shows is not that Mandela is evil but rather that terrorism can sometimes be morally justified.

  • Anyone who's awarded with the Lenin Peace Prize - and accepts it - shouldn't be treated as a normal human being.

I wonder what set of values Mandela has that make him despise the apartheid system but praise the Cuban police state.

I guess he only hates oppression done by non-communists.

  • just go and fuck yourself you stupid bastard!

  • Nice answer

  • Perhaps the richest state in the world, the Vatican, can share its TRILLIONS of US Dollars in gold reserves and abolish world hunger forever. Instead, in their new commandments 'excessive wealth' is a sin. Hypocracy? You make the call.

The strategy of the global elite is to get rid of these people, not to feed them.

In a blaze of irony, one of Obama's first acts as president was to fund abortions in Africa with your tax dollars. This is UN policy. Population reduction.

  • Abortion is a right for all women. Regardless of race, income and location all women should have the choice. If you were the one which had to choose between bringing up a child in absolute poverty (AIDS?) or not, what would you do? Do you think in that type of society rape is addressed? Sexual abuse? Think again mate

  • You are assuming the government is giving women a choice. That's what you have been led to believe and I don't blame you. You have watched too much TV.

What you don't know about are chemicals added to food and water which assault our reproductive systems. Go research aspartame and it's effects on the female reproductive system. Or how the Australian government sterilized Aborigines by putting chemicals in their water supply. Unclassified. There is a difference between eugenics and choice.

  • Yo, Love The people Listen to the music what's so real. I can't stop listen because it feel ........Buy naw The only one vote for Revolution out of cry White Smoke The Revolution Vote Edition for You all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! 1lIVE SO SWEET 2 FEEL IT 3 HUNGRY 4 SMILE AGAIN 5 BABYLON 6 LIKE TO PLAY 7EARTH PEOPLE 8 POTILOVE 9 JAH 10 TELL ME
  • Mandela owns

  • poverty is a result of the corrupt concept of a monetary system. as long as we have money, there will always be a distribution of wealth. as long as there is a distribution of wealth, there will always be the billionares and there will always be the poor living in poverty. the only way poverty could be abolished is if the world didnt use the concept of currency, and rather used a resource based economy. the movie zeitgeist addendum really explains it. go watch please :)

  • ask obama to give you some money then, i bet he would give you a peanut. money belongs to those who fight for it.

  • well, money is not natural. Its a man made idea...to give things value.

so poverty...the lack of money...must be a man made concept too

    maybe?

  • harshvgaus has a point, humans cause poverty, to get rid of poverty we must get rid of humans. but as that cannot happen, we must try and get rid of poverty the hard way, and that is what we will do.

  • What you have just said my friend is extremely thought provoking

  • But isn't trading resources the same as money? Money was originally made of gold centuries ago, as it was a fair system for trading. Compare a wheelbarrow of gold to one of potatoes... Currency is more convenient for all, that's why it was formed in the first place. Are you basically suggesting that all money should be repossessd and the world would be a happier place? Those with higher incomes will be paid with more expensive goods.. so funadamentally it would not make any different.

  • It is much more convinient, but with that conviniemce comes an easier invitation for control. Thats how systems like the federal reserve and the IRS come about, where they can control the money flow, taxes and completely manipulate the nation's economy to their liking. and I mean Reasource-based economy on a global scale, Where nations trade their wealth according to population and needs, so no one goes hungry, not on the small scale where we actually trade small goods.

  • Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great.

It is time for us to act now to overcome poverty. I love what Nelson Mandela says in this video. The goal is achievable. We have to stop looking the other way.

    peace,

    vicki

  • @vickileroy Talk is cheap. More problems have bedfallen South Africa since that phony bastard shit-disturber was allowed out of jail. South Africa is falling apart. What the f__k does Mandela know about anything constructive. He's a commie organizer just like we have in the US today. That's why the US economy is falling apart too. The US has it's own version of Mandela, a shit disturber.

  • @xmenrus I agree! Whatever they touch turns to shit. a spade is the only tool they seem to understand, and then they will break that too!

  • One man's ripple in the ocean can build into a wave as the love he sends forth touches others and they in turn touch someone else.

'Happy Birthday' Nelson Mandela. :o) You started the wave that carries the tune of a World United in peace, love, compassion, and knowledge...that wave is now a tsunami and growing every day until finally we will all be smiling together for each other. :o) My sincerest gratitude and deepest respects to you on your 90th Birthday Sir.

  • This man is awesome. His actions won't be forgotten.

  • Poverty is the lagest crime.Yeah, make poverty history.

  • Any time humanity wants to have this planet work for all with no one left out it can be done. Certainly just trade, debt cancellation and high quality aid are part of the how. The monopoly of land and natural resources is where colonialism started and whether denial of access to land continues to this day by foreign corporations or indigenous elites it must finally be dealt with. A simple economic fact is that land value is created by society as a whole. It therefore belongs 100% to all of us.

  • In a world of faceless, high-speed mass production, our range of beautifully handcrafted home, gift and jewellery items stands apart.

Each item reflects the creativity and skill of the craft worker who made it.

Tearcraft exists to benefit skilled craftspeople from some of the world's poorest communities.

Join us in bringing transformation and fresh hope to people living in poverty.

  • Yes,We really need to make poverty history.

So,let us all participate in the campaign of the UN "Stand Up &Take Action" against poverty. The event will be held by the UN between 17 & 19th of October08 where they want general masses to participate in some form to fulfill the 8 goals of the MDG.

    So,are you participating..?

  • watch?v=YxgCXAPkAEg

    watch?v=K9UW-5oW4Lc

  • I was always taught never give money to a begger, 'never a borrower or a lender be', so what is the master plan ans when do we see results. south africa - mauritiaus banking meeting 1985. who agreed to borrow more when the existing white market was not big enough? south africa was never about freedom ....

  • if for years and in fact centuries european economies grew from the forcible taking of natural resources from colonialized countries, how exactly does "aid" and "cancelling of debt" qualify as borrowing from as you put it the "white market?"

  • you know what? 'UNCLE TOM' ain't dead yet. freedom without finnancial freedom means there is no freedom durr

  • ANC/zanu-pf admit it you did not have a macro economic plan for south africa your greedy eyes could only see what you could get out of the deals to come and personally position yourselves to take advantage of them. It's a big RIP OFF!

  • The answer is simple just tell mandela to buy less rockets, guns, battleships, tanks, rifles and fighter jets and bullets. africa has no money for food but everyone their can buy a loaded gun to take your food.

  • we should think how to real world leaders should be?

  • those who say who cares when they see people dying must have had someone close to them die. or perhaps inside they are hurting. because every day they die a litle too...

  • there are very few "right" reasons to have your freedom taken

  • I have no god damn clue where this message came from. I just saw it in that new feature from youtube, someone must have used my computer and wrote this.

It's 6 months ago and I havent even watched this video, I'm apologize for any offence that comment have made.

  • why is every1 saying who cares fuk u i feel like puttin u somewhere no fuking food no money no family and fuking dying on the street u asholes COUNT URSELF LUKY so when ever u moan cause u cant have wat u want think of the ppl in Africa!!!!

  • MANILA, Philippines - About 1 billion people are absolutely poor, living on less than US$1 a day, said International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) - including 11 million Filipinos (13.5% of the country's population) live on less than $1 a day; 9.1 percent or 7.4 million are subjacent poor (living on 75c to 1$) and 4.4% or 3.6 million are medial poor (living on 50 - 75c). There is no figure for the ultra poor (living on less than 50 cents).

  • repotato33 should go to hell

  • The only reason you don't care is because you're probably some rich spoiled brat looking at others down your nose.

However, I bet if you were in the position of a child in Zimbabwe, where a tootsie roll would be looked upon with such gratitude, you wouldn't be saying 'who gives a fuck?'

  • You can be this distant, this far from humanity so that you see starving infants, dying children in their mother's arms, and ask with resiliant humility, who cares? Truth of the matter is, not enough people do. People are dying, and people refuse to care. That will never stop amasing me.

  • In a virtual reality world, with so many viewing options, why do people choose to watch videos of people they obviously don't like, or agree with...go & watch Spongebob if you don't want to participate in making poverty history. You people are sad excuses for humanity, bless you all...:-)

  • Why do you say this?

  • I wonder if world leaders know how bad it is going in South-Africa? Last year alone 20,000+ people lost their lives due to violent crime in South-Africa, thousands upon thousands of women were raped in South-Africa last year! It is not going well in South-Africa at all! I fled South-Africa with my family because of the above. Apartheid sucked but the Bloody New South-Africa is a complete nightmare.

  • Everyone knows that the poverty rate in south africa is climbing rapidly because of the AIDS epedimic and also all the white people left after the regime so all thats left are people from african desent

  • See this video on YouTube:

Mandela: Speaking to reporters after singing to kill whites

  • did he say " i say to all those niggas" 1:22

  • i think so

  • he said LEADERS>

  • Interesting that after 13 years of democracy that poverty has got worse in SA . It is only 3rd world countries that waste there money that there is extreme poverty

  • get a grip. the money is controlled by a mere few. It is not the fault of the people it is the fault of the one powerhungry fwit that wont share

  • poverty is part of life there will always be the rich and always the poor. The rich will use the poor to get richer. Thats life and it doens't matter if you black or white it is up to the individual to make his life better

  • That a very convenient view for excusing your own affluence. But it is blatantly false. There will always be comparative poverty, that is there will always be people who have below average compared to their contemporaries. However, Nelson is not talking about this. He is talking about extreme poverty, the kind of poverty where you are so poor you starve to death. Extreme poverty can be eradicated. In fact in western countries extreme poverty has been eradicated.

  • In western societies we have people that are comparatively poor but since the great depression there has been no extreme poverty. But if it has been eradicated from western countries there is no reason why it can't be eradicated from other countries also. In fact it's not even that hard. The UN has estimated the cost at 80 billion and that is less the US spends on their defence budget (439 billion). So saying that poverty cannot be eradicated is just false.

  • There is poverty in western america, but that is due to people being junkies and addicts or learned that the dream effectly ceased to exist in today's era of corporate rule. I can't care less though for I serve the illuminati

  • There is no extreme poverty in the US. Although homeless people and drug addicts may live miserable lives, they at least still have access to social welfare (handouts, soup kitchens etc.) and are not at risk of starving to death.

  • I am sitting on the fence on this issue. On one hand we should take away the welfare to encourage hard work and maybe institute work camps, but on the other hand. The human side beckons me to consider the plight of others.
