I laughed so hard at the end when you showed how bright the Torch really was compared to those small bullshit flashlights. To even compare a surefire to wicked laser torch is just a shame all in itself.
But great video, this is exactly what i needed to see comparison wise. Thanks =]
@DJRabinovski If you are looking to get the torch I would not recommend it... It was more of an impulse buy and I regretted it a bit. Go surefire with a drop in... or a DBS or a 4 sevens Quark AA squared. just my 0.2$
@gvsfgdf I'm looking for a flashlight which has a really bright and the most wide angle brightness I can get, as seen in this video with the torch. Who cares if it lasts only 15 minutes, I'll just buy a few extra batteries.
@DJRabinovski no get an HID light then not the torch TRUST ME im doing you a HUGE favor the MASSIVE current draw on the batteries ruins them after 10-15 charges :(
@DJRabinovski Dude, those Torch flashlights are the "bullshit" flashlights. They are good for nothing more than showing off for a few minutes. The battery lasts 5-10mins before you have to recharge it. WTF do you need a flashlight that only lasts 10mins for? Fenix, 4Sevens, SureFire, all of these manufactures produce quality (and super bright) flashlights that are actually practical. If you need a really bright light with a flood beam, get a Fenix TK45 or the TK30.
I have a new (200L) led lenser p7 which is ok and a jetbeam rrt-1 raptor that has really good throw but im wanting a stupidly bright light but with good throw.
Thanks for the review, you dont see many beam shots of the wicked laser.
@rc2008hsp If your looking for throw then the Torch is not it... I have a DBS V3 with an xre-r2 and it easyly out throws my torch... and the torch is not a good product after you've had it for a while... If you want output and THROW would recommend a 35W HID which will have like 5x the throw of the your jetbeam and my DBS combined.~peace~
Which is the best value and how much? Great bid. How far can you see into the night with the Torch?

According to the specs, the battery only lasts five minutes....

@gvsfgdf ok cool thanks for the recomendations.
Is there any 35W HID spot lights in a flashlight (eg. D cell mag) like configuration?
And for a reasonable price.
Im not a fan of the pistol grip like lights.
rc2008hsp 1 year ago
@rc2008hsp just type in "HID Flashlight" in ebay..... and yes there are many in a maglite like style they go for about 150 to 300$

If the wicked laser torch had a longer battery run time I'd get one for sure. 15mins? Maybe/hopefully the next gen will run longer.

Very helpful. Was reading and trying to decide which one out of the few. Now I think it's pretty obvious. Thanks for taking the time.

I wonder how the A9 aspheric would compare with my MAG R2 aspheric, it runs at 1.2A. what does the A9 drive it LED too?
hugo2x 2 years ago
thanks for the sub... i measured the a9 draw and with an 18650 it'll draw 1amp but on primaries it boosts up to 1.2+amps
